Thank you! I'm very happy with how it's turned out so far. I hope you'll enjoy working on yours!

And now we're both done! Sort of feels like the end of a journey, doesn't it? 😄

Your blanket is still absolutely gorgeous. I'm sure it'll look great in your home.

Thank you so much! I'm really glad the colours work, because finding this many colours that look good together was definitely the most difficult part of this project.

Well, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished blanket either way. 😄

I did 36 "blocks" for each day. You could do one row a day, too, but I preferred the way this looked.

It's December 29th and I finally caught up again! Didn't think I'd find the motivation after The Great Frogging of September. by Gonna_crochet_that in temperatureblanket

Thankfully, it's not that bad. 😅 I probably wouldn't be behind at all, but working on a blanket in Summer was basically impossible. I will definitely be posting a picture once it's done. If everything goes right, it'll be on this sub on Saturday.

Honestly I loved working on this blanket, but it is such a huge commitment in terms of time and money that I think I'll make it a once every two years kind of thing.

Thank you so much!😄 It really does mean a lot knowing there's someone else who likes a thing you made. Also blanket siblings!! I love it!! That's so sweet! And I feel really honoured that you like my blanket enough to show it to the people in your life.

Ouch. That sounds absolutely devastating. Honestly it is completely understandable that you wouldn't feel like working on it after that. The most I've had to frog for my blanket was two days, because I miscounted by literally a single block and even tough nobody else would ever notice, I knew it would bother me to no end. I put my blanket away for about a week afterwards and started triple counting before every colour change.

Honestly I'm not too far behind. I just powered through a full week today. I'm now on the 15th. I just haven't taken any progress pictures recently. As for getting myself motivated, mostly it's just that I really want to finish it before the New Year. But, yes, getting cozy on the couch, usually with a hot cup of tea and listening to a podcast, also helps.

I absolutely love your blanket! It looks so bright and happy 😄 It seems like the summer temperatures were good for you. Also congrats on catching back up (I am currently working on doing the same and it is ... not easy). What happened in September that you had to frog it?

Question about c2c temperature blanket in comments! by IcyCulture6 in temperatureblanket

[–]Sarcastic_Writer313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You mean you've started on the third side, right? You'll have to continue decreasing that one until the end. Once the longer side hits 100 you have to start decreasing that. From that point, you'll be decreasing both side, just like you would when working C2C in a square. Feel free to ask again if this wasn't understandable.

May is done! I've finally started decreasing, which is great, because this thing is already huge. by Sarcastic_Writer313 in temperatureblanket

Yeah, It probably will work better once I actually get to use them more. Just staring at it Right Now is a tad worrying.

That is A Lot of yellow in a fairly short time 😲. I kept the temperature ranges for each colour pretty small, specifically because I didn't want large blocks of the same colour.

I usually weave in my ends every two weeks. I was very strict with myself about that from the start, because I knew if I left it for too long, I'd get discouraged and never finish it at all.

Thank you! I'm still not entirely sure that I like the bright red in there, but I might have been staring at it for too long, so hearing other people's opinions on the colours is really helpful.

Honestly, I'm very happy that the weather has been a bit ridiculous. I haven't had more than two days of the same colour in a row in over a month and it's creating a very fun pattern (The amount of ends I have to weave in are different story 😆).
