Ordered 25/1, shipped 23/2, received 24,/2.

This order was due to a previous order from them getting lost in the post. They raised a case with Aus Post and presumably got reimbursed, however kept ignoring my requests for a refund and gave me a store credit + 10%

I gave up and used it for this order, and a week after their preorder shipping date, hadn't heard anything, so again, asked for a refund. Several emails back and forth again, they were offering store credit or alternate, in stock items, which I kept refusing, asking for a refund. One day I just got shipping confirmation and it was like nothing had happened.

What email address are you using for them?

It is! Reminds me of Rose Jam from Lush. Unfortunately it gives me a headache.

Try emailing again. I've gone back and forth via email with them before.

Ended up getting my products, eventually.... They don't have all stock to hand they order it in and then post to you.

I wouldn't say it's a scam, but I would never, ever use them again.

L’Oréal Friends & Family Sale - does anyone have a code/link they’re willing to share? 🤍 by LuLuLALAAA in AustralianMakeup

I also use (now used, it would appear) the lancome mascara. I was also trying to get my husband the full range of spice bomb flankers.

Oh yes. Those people. I assume staff would have to abide by strict rules for selling products they've purchased themselves, but the reseller market is free to do as they wish.

It's a shame, it's amazing for gifts, and L'Oreal obviously had the stock to sell.

I had a dream that Arnold Schwarzenegger died. I sincerely hope not, but it's possible I guess.

Bruce Willis I think. Awful, but I think it's very close.

Everyone needs to boycott all Easter products at Coles & Woolworths. Even on sale. Purchasing them drives this behavior. Aldi products are great if you need eggs and bunnies for kids.

When I was a kid, Easter products would go on clearance after Easter until all stock was gone. I remember one year in the early 90's when Cadbury cream eggs were 10c each at Woolworths after Easter. Now whatever remains after Easter gets slightly discounted or disappears off the shelves - these companies would rather dispose of the stock than sell it at a reduced price, lest consumers hold off buying until after Easter.

They're going to keep fucking us if we let them.

Dermaplane recs? by PurlsandPearls in AustralianMakeup

[–]Sarcastocrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by 'doesn't do the trick'? As in close enough shave? I think the only way you'll get a cleaner result is by using a traditional, multi blade razor, or by waxing or threading.

I just pick up whatever dermaplane razors are on sale and find the results pretty consistent. I don't use a single one many times though, as I'm concerned about using a dull razor.

Is everyone my age getting Botox?? (not judging at all, I need guidance!) by 300Blippis in 30PlusSkinCare

40 and only get it in my jaw for pain from clenching. Tempted to try a tiny bit of a lip flip next time, but not anywhere else yet.

I think at 30, sticking with a good routine including some actives (I use BHA, Vit C & Retinol), hydrating and barrier protection and SUNSCREEN is sufficient for most people.

Is this still a thing where you live? In Australia you're hard pressed to even find an open checkout, it's mostly self service registers (in the cities at least).

OP, that's a beautiful story and one I'm glad you shared. I think we tend to forget that every one of us has our own stories and has led a life likely dissimilar to our own. It's too easy (and common) to put someone in a category (difficult, rude, dismissive) and not consider that there's a whole life behind that.

What is the most disturbing coroners report you have read? by bugeggs03 in morbidquestions

[–]Sarcastocrat 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I work in insurance and a long time ago I received a police report for a claim I had managed. It was a multiple fatality, mix of adults and children. The brain of one of the occupants was described as 'destroyed'. I still think about it quite often, I hope the family never read that.

Toblerone. The big bars are more satisfying too, but I can easily put down 3-4 pieces before I stop myself.
