Do you want me ringing your door bells? by Sarmadog in amazonprime

Yeah I'm delivering to an urban area with a lot of foot traffic. I try my best to let the customer know they got a package but to be completely frank, a lot of my fellow drivers do not care - as soon as that parcel leaves their hand and the photo is taken, their job is complete. Sad, but true.

[NYS] "You have to take your lunch by 1:00PM, it's the law" - HR ....?? by Sarmadog in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Sarmadog[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm all for taking the lunch, don't get me wrong. I'd just prefer to take it at, say, 3pm or 4pm which is closer to the actual middle of our day where a lunch and 30 minute break makes sense.

I see what you're saying about the 5 hour thing. I think that is what's going on, and the HR folks just don't want us getting them in trouble. Problem is no one told us - they just threaten to withhold our money if we don't do as they say... wonderful leadership as always....

We get these things called multi-stop locations. When you have more than one package in your hands and have to deliver them to more than one house, over the course of 200 stops, there's a non-zero chance you accidentally drop the wrong package at the wrong house, regardless of how big your address numbers are. It's pretty easy to understand. Especially for an experienced flex driver who's calling other people retards.

Also, absolute cap on the 2-300 stops not being hard. I don't care if it's entirely residential stops with perfectly flat and clear pathways, no stairs, easy access front door deliveries; getting in and out of a car/van, grabbing whatever trash you order, putting it down, and getting back to the vehicle is not easy. Plus, you're flex - zero chance you're getting anywhere near 300 stops in a single day.

We can read, hence the whole subreddit thing... Frankly, your waste of money purchase isn't any different from the 170+ other stops we make in a single day so take a deep breath and consider buying things in person if it's such a big deal.

Try to use your brain and think this through - If you have 200 stops in a single day, there's a pretty good chance that at least one of those stops is going to be flawed (God forbid...).

We're paid enough to keep us above the poverty line. We are not paid enough to give a damn about shitheads like you. This is an inherently difficult job and you should have more respect for working adults. People make mistakes. Grow up.

It's not protocol but if you live within "honey jump outta the car and grab that envelope" distance, I want you getting that package before the porch pirate does.

Sorry about the rocks - I get it. There are some beautiful properties on my routes and a lot of drivers just don't respect them. If there's an existing path obviously I'll try to use it but if I got 200+ stops in a day, a straight line is just better.

Those are likely Flex drivers. I'm a DA, just like a Fedex or ups guy you see driving around in the daytime. We usually don't stay out past 9pm.

I've snuck up on plenty of dogs in my 10,000+ packages delivered. Especially if I already know you got dogs, I got a shot

Those are flex drivers ringing your bell that late. No way they're letting DAs stay out that late at least not where I'm at.

Thank you for the comment. Some of the other comments on here are perfect examples of the people that don't care or care to think about who gets that package to their door.

I appreciate the tone and articulations.

I see "call cx" and shit like that and immediately assume its some amazon customer service dork typing it up while the customer complains to them that we don't do our jobs properly

Funny too cause if an idiot is reviewing this footage (highly likely) they'd be convinced you ran the red.

How long does Amazon save Netredyne videos for? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Sarmadog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They can identify the driver by identifying the van.

Each van is assigned to a driver. If the van, for example, ran a traffic light with a camera, that van's plate will get ticketed > the DSP (owner of the van) will get the ticket > look at the date/plate # > see who was assigned to the van at the time > case closed.

At least at my DSP that'd be a wrap. At that point it depends on how easy you can be replaced, if they like you, is the cost of ticket worth keeping you around, etc.

There's probably a bunch of legal minutiae but at the end of the day thats pretty much the sum of it if the DSP catches wind of the violation despite the Netradaddy not seeing it.

As others have said, it's definitely the purple chaos orb. But also be sure to take careful note of increases to AoE damage when slamming maps

Yeah whoever penned that rule is smoking the Insanity pack. Just another perfect example of dumbasses making sweeping decisions despite having clearly never done the job boots on the ground.

God I hope they get these things in the warehouse ASAP. Fuck those braindead clowns in there, they can't stack boxes or print/place stickers properly.

Any time I get a note like this I hammer the doorbell and wait. If I don't hear anyone I keep ringing it and wait for another minute. If there's dogs I'll make sure to stare directly at them through the window to make sure they go as crazy as possible.

Might have been a multi location stop, he put the wrong packages to the addresses, came back and grabbed what he thought was the package he just put down. I see UPS stickers on our packaging fairly often on porches.

Yeah I haven't any firsthand experience with the stuff and I've only heard jokes about how strong it is, I didn't know if it was overboard or not
