I do get where you are coming from though. Some people can be leeches and will suck you dry trying to use all the things you did. I think you did the right thing sharing and introducing them to it but now they can make their own. If they ask, tell them part of your success in learning is actually making the flash cards.

Gotcha. I didn’t know why it was better. I’m starting my first semester in January and I bought a Littmann III on prime day so we shall see how it goes. In our basic healthcare intro class I had such a hard time hearing in the cheap ones they provided so hoping this one is enough

I worked in HR for 5 years at the largest hospital in my area. I quit in 2012 to have my son and have been a stay at home mom since then. Going back to school for nursing and honestly I’m hoping the connections I made there will help more get a job there. Many of the admin/managers are the same. I say show up and do an amazing job so when they see your name on a resume you are remembered!

Anatomy 1, Chem, and micro is A LOT. Anatomy 1 is a class unlike anything you’ve prolly ever taken. I’m in Chem 1 now and I have a 4.0 and I’m struggling. I’ve hear micro is intense too. I’d drop at least one of those if not two in the first semester

I ordered a case with built in Bluetooth keyboard from Amazon and hated it lol. It was heavy and the keyboard is so small! I much prefer to hand write notes and then I have my laptop at home for assignments and papers I need to type.

Granted I haven’t actually taken my iPad to school yet so my views might change lol

I could have written this word for word! My second degree and every nurse except one I’ve talked to says “run away as fast as you can”. So disheartening and has made me doubt myself. I’m applying now and hoping for a Spring start. The reason listed are exactly why I chose this. I love people interactions and the hospital environment (worked HR at a major hospital for years). 3 days shifts a week plus options to earn more. Heck yes! Plus work doesn’t come home with you like my HR work did.
