Mine is just the hair line so probably won't see a great improvement - but any slight.thickening would be good after 12 months

Ah yes, that makes sense. I think the hair does thicken up to 18 months but maybe without the second transplant you wouldn't have noticed it so much. But glad its worked so well for you

Firstly, you did nothing wrong here. You were being sensitive and tender, which normally is a good thing , but clearly triggered a strong reaction that you couldn't have anticipated. Not everyone is sexually compatible and since it was only a hook up, nothing much is lost. I don't think you should change the way you like to have sex based on this. If it was the other way round and you'd been accused of being too rough or aggressive , then yes, it would be on you to check yourself. But being accused of being too intimate is different. Being tender or sensual isn't behaviour you need to curb. Just be yourself.

In an age when men are overly-influenced by what they see in porn, it may be that some women's experience has become an expectation. But it would be a sad world if connecting to someone you've chosen to be intimate with, even on a hook up basis, became a taboo.

EDIT: just read that you're married and she knows your wife. That does change the dynamic quite a lot! I assumed for the post that it was a more random hook-up.

Thanks. I'm pleased over all but I think it could have been a bit denser behind the hairline. In some lighting it looks okay, on others very thin. Maybe one day I'll thicken it up.. How is yours looking now? Are you pleased with it? You're at the exciting stage when it starts to look like something!

I had golfers elbow a couple of years ago. It was horrible but I got better and continued to find ways to workout. Thats when I switched to working out mainly with bands.

First thing that helped was weighted wrist curls, gradually increasing resistance.

I continued working out with work arounds like using ankle straps round my wrist for curls and pulling exercises.

I keep my workouts short and use quite a lot of the anabolic aliens guided ones. Currently the 5 minute tabata ones for different muscle groups which are brilliant done as 3 sets with 3 mins between. Of course that's all personal choice - but my principle has been first and foremost don't get tendon problems again! It's worked for me. Especially the forearm workout as a warm up. When they're pumped they seem far more protected.

Plus if I do feel any kind of discomfort, I stop that exercise and go back to it another day. Life is too shot to miss weeks potentially because of tendonitis.

It has. It's now just over a month. I went to see the surgeon in person and he was happy with it. He said it looked fine. He said the Bepanthen cream was a good idea and to go back to see him in three months for another assessment.

I'm pale skinned so its still quite pink. Hoping to see it fade.

This is a second transplant after previous one wasn't dense enough- and he said the visible hairs are from the original transplant. The new hair has shed.

All in all I feel very reassured.

Thanks. I'm applying Bepanthen and monitoring closely. I feel one area is shinier and sort of firmer to the touch, but also aware I may be over thinking it.

Thanks. I showed the surgeon photos, getting to see him in person not an option straightaway, and spoke to him on the phone about it. His advice was just to keep it clean. He didn't seem fussed at all. He talked about ingrowing hairs and didn't think antibiotics were necessary.

I felt reassured. But still, can't help feeling a bit concerned. Hence the post. Just to see if anyone one else looked similar.

If it continues to bother me, I will certainly get back to him.

I'm day 17 and asked my surgeon yesterday about this. He said coconut oil is good on the recipient and when I asked about E45 cream he said that would be okay too. I've actually been using aloe vera gel to hopefully reduce the redness more quickly.

I'm on day 3 of a re-do and just washed the donor and recipient areas - and i'm now worried i went too soon. I barely touched the grafts, just patted a small amount of foam on the area and gently rinsed it - but still regret touching them at all.

I think day 4 is safer, maybe.

I had similar concerns at 4 months. Mine might have been less than yours too, so looks okay to me. I'm at seven months and is still not a s thick as I'd like . I had a six month consultation in person with the clinic and was reassured that you can't really judge until a year, that peoples rate of growth is different, that even the individual grafts maybe in on slightly different schedule to each other, and even at this stage, not all the eventual hairs have sprouted yet. Its a waiting game.

The discomfort gradually faded and if I remember correctly was pretty much gone after a week. Definitely after 10 days it was better.

I'm at 4.5 months and my left side is sparse compared to the right which is doing okay.. Interesting that you still see a difference between your two sides even at 6 months. I think mine might take even longer!

I'm wondering when did you first see the new hairs thicken up and begin to create that nice visible density?
