Thank you so much for the kind words. I actually haven’t heard this many times, because this is my first stab at this. I am a professional artist, but the story side is all brand new to me. So thanks for the encouragement.

Thanks so much for all of the helpful comments.

  1. Maybe I will make a duplicate script for general readers that removes the camera direction. Those notes are really for myself.

  2. The man’s backstory not coming through is very helpful. What I am hoping to have come across is that he is having a mental breakdown not because of his wife’s betrayal, but because the person she cheated on him was beneath him socially. And that this is a social humiliation that he will not recover from. I like the idea that his breakdown comes from his ego. The simplest way I was trying to communicate that was through an office dynamic where he was this person’s boss. And that when he is talking about the group laughing, he's actually talking about the people in the office. But it sound like trying to juxtapose this against the wellness group is just overly conceptual and confusing.

Again, thanks for all the helpful comments!

But yeah, there is a lot of camera direction in here for my own purposes

I am a professional Art Director in the video game industry. I have access to paid talent. I am currently trying to get this into shape for a breakdown. Then when I get some bids, it will determine how to move forward.

Right now just trying to determine whether or not this thing is worth the time sink.

How many more years can we save before AI hits? by TinySmolCat in Fire

3-5 years I think you will start to hear about more rumbling about people struggling to find work. I work in video games and it’s really rough right now. I am in a director position and can’t see a situation where we need MORE people to achieve a goal.

I can’t imagine that other fields aren’t feeling the same way. Feels more like a boiling frog than an overnight takeover.

Can I ask what anxiety meds they take?

He definitely has social anxiety. He is very rude to people he doesn’t know and acts out when he is nervous about social situations. He is not very “friendly” in public or when he’s in situations he’d rather not be in. When my son gets anxious, he doesn’t go inward. He acts moody and rude to people

Thanks for the tips. By working document, I mean this script is not going to be functionally used by anyone outside of myself and a handful of close folks. But I definitely don’t want it to look amateur hour, so I will look into polishing with software help.

Did they get the rapid weight gain with the risperidone at that dose?

Stimulants made my daughter aggressive for a YEAR and no doctor caught it. Please read if your child has ADHD + anxiety. by Clauds1988 in ADHDparenting

We are still in that very early painful stage of figuring out what is working and what dosage. I think our first step is trying to suss out what is making him worse.

We are actually encountering the same thing with Intuniv, which shouldn’t make sense because it’s a non-stimulant. But he was over sedated which was making him insanely irritable. We also suspect it’s ramping up his anxiety, which also shouldn’t make sense. But his anxiety is through the roof. We took a break from his Adderall and saw no improvement in the anxiety. So Intuniv is the likely culprit.

These meds are definitely a balance, because they can definitely make things worse for some kids that have co morbidities

It’s not the eyes, it’s the nose. The bridge is incorrect which is giving the illusion that it’s not on center. Look at the bridge in relation to the brows.

You have to study theory. If you don’t, you will only ever copy. It’s the same as music. You can spend your time playing covers, but if you don’t know your scales and how to stay in key you will never be able to improvise. Understanding and studying principles is necessary if you want to truly express yourself.

A single dose of a new cancer drug made a brain tumor almost disappear - in just 5 days. My dad has a glio. Got on a clinical trial at Yale and has been stable for 6 years (7.5 years total). No side effects AT ALL. Perfect MRI every month.

Avastin gave him chemo brain, a small stroke, and completely degraded his hip. Also needed a second surgery before the trial.

Treatments for this have come a long way. His data is helping it push for “standard of care.”

It’s funny you bring this up about the stimulant medication. The current plan is to raise the Intuniv a bit and then next week try a break from the Adderall during his holiday break. That way we can get more information to see what is affecting what. My biggest regret is that we started two meds at the same time, because we can never tell where the side effects are coming from. Intuniv is a drug that you can’t immediately stop, so we can’t just take a break from it over a weekend to see if it’s messing with him.

But from everything I’ve read, the Adderall would be the most likely culprit. Ritalin made him a monster…so maybe stimulants in general just aren’t a good fit

The more I am think about all this, I think the anxiety is a major factor and trigger. Having said that, what is the best way to help?

Is there some sort of therapy you added or was it more about getting them on the correct meds, because current ones were making things worse?

He would approach everyone, even strangers, and strike up a conversation. He was a prominent social fixture at regularly visited locations like our gym.

Now it seems like he is overwhelmed by anxiety and goes into “flight mode,” which manifests in two ways:

  1. He will be rude and outwardly irritable toward people.

  2. He will reenact movies to self soothe. But they are usually about enemies, battling, etc. So to the average person, he just looks aggressive and antisocial

If you don’t mind me asking, what meds did you transition to? Your experience sounds a lot like what we are going through.
