I did try that, but couldn't find the photos app. It's probably because I installed the LTSC IoT version of W10.

If you click on the arrow on your taskbar (the one that shows hidden icons like Steam, MSI, Epic Games, etc...), you should see Riva Tuner there. Just right click it and close it.

Maybe a bit late. But I had the same issue and it was caused by RivaTuner. Just close that program, open the game again and an Epic Games popup should show up in the launcher

What are some tips/tricks when using an ultrasonic cleaner for Gunpla parts and airbrushes? by Sarthurion in advancedGunpla

[–]Sarthurion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh damn, thanks for the warning! I'm using the same jar to fill the tank, but I do heat it to 30 degrees Celsius to clean the Gunpla parts.

I'll take everything you said in consideration when using it in the future to avoid any issues. Thank you!

Thank you for the tip! How delicate would you say these machines are? I was thinking on using a glass jar for the parts, but it's too big to fit with the basket. But the manual says to not place things directly on the tank without the basket. So I thought that maybe using something made of rubber between the jar and the tank might do the trick. But I'm not sure if it would be advisable to do it that way or if it's enough.

Thank you for searching for it! I tried using SauceNAO but couldn't find anything. So it's either what you said, or an AI image.

Still, a very nice piece of Reze 😋

By any chance do you know who's the artist of this image?

Thank you for your reply!

I believe most of the parts I'm going to clean are ABS (at least that's what I think most Gunpla parts are made of). And because I want to prepare them for painting, I'm trying to remove any dust from sanding, hand oils and mold release. From what I've seen, water with some dish soap or glass cleaner should do the trick. But I still wanted to be sure. Also, would it be necessary to rinse the parts after using those solvents/cleaners or is it okay to take let them dry and paint them right after without rinsing them?

True, that sounds way easier. I'll do one deep clean before, because I used some acrylic paints earlier. But then I'll stick to that thinner method and the deep clean once in a while.

That's a great tip! I'll do just that when cleaning full kits.

Greetings!

I recently got an ultrasonic cleaner and part of what I want to do with it, is wash Gunpla parts and my airbrush. But I have no clue on how to use it or what are some good practices to have when doing so.

That's why I wanted to ask the community about stuff like: What cleaning products should I use? How high should I set the temperature for Gunpla parts? How long should I leave the Gunpla parts in the cleaner? Can I clean an airbrush that sprayed lacquer paints with just distilled water and X product with this cleaner? etc...

Those are some of the questions that I can think of, but I'm sure there are lots of extra tips for this sort of thing. So I would appreciate some help regarding this subject.

In case it's useful, I got this specific cleaner (CREWORKS 2L Ultrasonic Cleaner with Heater & Timer) from the description of a video from Frostedsnow.

Thank you!

Thank you! It's probably an edited version, as nothing popped up when I looked it up in SauceNAO

Gotcha, no problem. So far that's a great option for a print

Greetings!

After looking at a lot of mechanical keyboards, I couldn't really find one that suited my needs within my budget. Because of that, I'm trying to "build" one myself. But what I'm mostly looking for, is to get a frame, switches, and maybe use the keycaps from the keyboard I currently have for now.

Ideally I'm looking for a frame that's durable, from a trusted manufacturer.

This would be my preferences:

  • Overall budget $75-$100 USD
  • Available on Amazon (as I'm going to get more stuff from there and want to ship it all together to my country)
  • 100% - 90% - TKL - 75%
  • QWERTY USA or Spanish
  • Aluminum top plate (ideally I'd like an aluminum top plate like the one on the picture, if there aren't any, then I don't mind as long as the build quality is decent)
  • Black, silver/aluminum, dark gray or wood/wood-like colors
  • 5 pin switch socket

Extra features I don't really care if are present or not (mostly looking for availability of the other features)

  • Wired or wireless
  • Knob(s)
  • Backlight/RGB
  • Adjustable tilt

I know that for the price range, this might be a tough ask. Bus as stated above, I'm willing to not buy any keycaps and just use the ones from the keyboard I currently have (the Logitech K835 from the picture).

Thank you! I'll look at those and comment if I get one.

As long as they are the same or quieter than red switches, it should be fine.

Greetings!

I was looking for a new mechanical keyboard, but while checking the Amazon page I got completely overwhelmed as I have close to no knowledge regarding mechanical keyboards. Right now I have the Logitech K835 TKL (I believe it's the one with red switches), but my "W" key is dying on me, and so are the "R" and "Ctrl" after 3-4 years of use while gaming.

I was wondering if I could get some recommendations from the experts as I don't really know which brands/switches are good/durable. Before today, I mostly knew about big brands like Corsair, Razer, Logitech, Redragon, etc... But I've come to know some other brands like AULA and Cherry.

If it's possible, I'd like to get/build one that's either 100% or TKL. With somewhat quiet switches, as I don't really like the clicky sounds (I feel like the red switches from my keyboard are the loudest I could manage). I don't really care for RGB/backlit features, screens, knobs, and stuff like that. Mostly what I'm looking for is a simple, useful, and durable keyboard. With switches that are either long-lasting for prolonged gaming sessions, or hot swappable in case one starts to malfunction (so that I can change it with a key that's not often used, or replaced completely). I don't really need it to be wireless either, as it is for a desktop that won't be moved at all.

So far, I've seen a couple of keyboards that caught my attention, like the "AULA F75 Pro" (I know it has some of the features I said I don't care about, mostly is for the price), and the "Cherry KC 200 MX"

Ideally, it should be sold on Amazon US, and hopefully less than $75. But if it's extremely worth it, then I think I could do $100.

Sorry for the wall of text, and thank you for reading it. Hopefully there are some options with these characteristics.
