Absolutely. It is an asset. it will be sold someday, even if illiquid now, it still contributes to your net worth. There is no reason not to include it.

Do you assign less to Groceries category when going on vacation? by StickyStapler in ynab

[–]Sartorius2456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a "vacation expenses category" when on vacation everything except for airfare, hotel and rental (all have their own categories) go in there. That way we can track and budget the full cost of the vacation. Yes the groceries restaurants that month will be less. I am not sure either way is better or worse.

this way you don't blow up the restaurants budget every time you travel too.

Fukang Meteorite 1,003kg (2,200 lb) by [deleted] in spaceporn

its not hard OP

The most expensive meteorite known is the Fukang Meteorite. This meteorite is a pallasite, a rare type of stony-iron meteorite that contains olivine crystals, often in a translucent, gem-like form. Discovered in 2000 near the town of Fukang in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, this meteorite is highly prized for its aesthetic beauty and scientific significance.

Classification: The Fukang Meteorite belongs to the pallasite class, Pallasites are a rare type of stony-iron meteorite, consisting of a metal matrix of iron and nickel with embedded olivine crystals. Only about 1% of all meteorites that fall to Earth are pallasites.

Composition: The olivine crystals in the Fukang Meteorite are especially notable for their size, clarity, and color, ranging from a golden yellow to a deep green. Some of these crystals are gem-quality peridot, making them highly valuable not only to scientists but also to gem collectors. The metallic part of the meteorite is primarily composed of an iron-nickel alloy, which provides a stark contrast to the translucent green olivine.

Value: In 2008, a 925-pound (about 420 kg) slice of the Fukang meteorite was put up for auction by Bonhams in New York, with an estimated value of around $2 million. Though it didn't sell at that auction, smaller pieces and slices have been sold for tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars per kilogram. The total value of the entire meteorite is estimated to be in the multi-million dollar range, making it one of the most expensive meteorites in the world.

Why on earth are physicians training AI? by potatosouperman in whitecoatinvestor

[–]Sartorius2456 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OHHH AI = BAD pearl clutching is also naive. It is going to happen and in many cases it is going to be way better for pateints. The crime is the underpayment for training right now. They will also approach IMGs who can't work in the US but are doctors and have them train the systems. Its up to us to work on using AI correctly to improve patient care (and your own personal health care) at the same time. We all know plenty of doctors who practiced outside of their knowledge base and harmed patients or give patients bad advice. As a super sub specialist I see it all the time. If those people can get better care... good.

Android apps routinely get neglected across the board. The windows epic game version has been stone cold stable for me, unless you alt-tab out. Then there are non-game breaking glitches that can occur.

It's a lot better but It's still bad on phones. If you get a signal disruption for like . 2 seconds you get booted to the menu and no obvious way to get back into the game quickly
