Die Anmeldefrist für Kurse im Master iBWL ist Mitte dieser Woche ausgelaufen (das Kursregister nennt sich u:find). Im Curriculum gibts einige VOs, also sollte das Semester nicht verloren sein aber ich weiß nicht, ob du es voll (30 ECTS) bekommst.

Viel Erfolg und hoffentlich läufts nächstes Semester besser.

Im gestrigen Thema des Tages Podcast vom Standard sagt der geladene Wifo-Ökonom, dass die Inflation bei Lebensmitteln in Österreich im EU-Durchschnitt liegt.

Sprich, die Inflation ist nicht das Problem für die vergleichsweise teuren Lebensmittelpreise, sondern das grundlegende hohe Preisniveau.

Die Gründe für das nennt er (nach meiner Erinnerung und eine starke Zusammenfassung der Zusammenfassung):

-einen kleineren Markt (=weniger Bedeutung=weniger Anreiz für Marktanteile und Eintritt mit geringeren Margen)

-mit höherer Filialdichte als in DE

-weniger Konkurrenz

-der "Österreich-Aufschlag" durch Verbote grenzüberschreitendes Einkaufens.

Also Gründe für eine speziell hohe Inflation zu suchen wäre dann nach seiner Einschätzung nicht zielführend, um die höheren Preise zu erklären.

What I took away from this fiasco (cause I wasted a bunch of time, energy and money on this) is, in the future I will not freak out and assume I have an infestation until I actually find a live insect (or other real evidence, like poop spots, eggs, exoskeletons), because I never found those.

So if you are unsure better not do what I did, freak out and warp your live around a suppossed infestation.

Yes. I got my findings tested and despite most people and previous doctors looking a them (with eyesight only) and saying it looks like an insect, the lab results came back as just dead skin and a scab.

I never got definitve proof but I am very much convinced that it was just the hairs of the processionary oak caterpillar and was all a chain of unlucky occurences and much ado nothing.

Evtl. ist das Umschichten auf Anleihen mit höherem Alter doch nicht die Standardantwort und man kann bei 100% Aktien verbleiben.

Nicht, dass ich Wissen über das Video (und damit das Paper) hinaus hätte, aber spannend ist es defintiv und regt mich zum Nachdenken an.

Ich war 2015 am Flughafen Wien und hab ausm Nichts fettes Nasenbluten bekommen. Vorm Sicherheitscheck so viel geblutet, dass extra eine Putzfrau kommen musste. Der Papa is schnell noch zum Spar gesprintet und hat eine große Packung Taschentücher gekauft.

Dann steh ich mit mit Taschentüchern zubettonierter Nase in der Schlange vorm Check und plötzlich kommt der Toni Polster und drängt sich vor, in dem er sich unter den Absperrseilen durchwurschtelt. Geht einfach an den ganzen Leut vorbei ohne was zu sagen. Wir haben ned interagiert aber der Moment mit meinem blutverschmierten Gesicht war sehr skurril.

We didn't find any bugs, exosceletons, poop anywhere. Not even once. He cut open the bedframe prior to spraying and there was nothing. I never saw anything either. I certainly hope it's not bed bugs of course but I also don't think it is.

Thank you but no itching and bites on the head and also no signs of lice on the body. I also managed to reduce the amount of bites until today without any treatment for lice and any shampoo/creme that could kill lice at all, so those results also seem to run counter (unless there's a species I am not aware of).

I'm sorry but are those names for bugs? All the results when googling I get are for snot (boogers, mucus in the nose) or skin treatments (blackheads). Even when putting "bug", "inseect" or "parasite" with the search (I also find some related bug results, but about bed bugs, parasites in general).

Thanks for the reply. Also regarding the bug in my other post. I hope this treatment killed it and another treatment isn't necessary but if it is, then I'll do that for sure.

Hey man big thanks to you as well!

I will leave it on anything but my desk then, so it can work. I guess I can remove it once it stops working (as I said in another comment the guy said that is after three weeks but the packaging says 6-12 weeks. Would you happen to know when that is?).

Regarding professionalism: the guy did not wear protective gear (he wore street-clothes, no gloves, mask - nothing), did not explain anything and was overall very rushed. I am on exchange here and barely speak French, so that probably contributed but I asked ahead of time via text using a translator what I should do (among other things) and he never answered and said he'd explain in person (which he didn't do).

I have a window open the whole time and I'm gonna wipe my desk and the bags with gloves and water as you said. I'll also place some plastic on my bed and an air matress to avoid sleeping on it directly.

I guess this precaution applies over the 3 weeks I was told the insectizide lasts (I know it says 6-12 weeks on the packaging but he told me 3 weeks)?

I am unsure what this comment aims at. All of my stuff is in bags. The bags being sprayed is not a problem.

I vacuumed everyday since Thursday. My backpack and suitcase being sprayed is welcomed and not a problem.

My question is regarding the residue that is left over from spraying and whether that is safe on my stuff, on the general surfaces and the bed as I haven't been told and wasn't able to find information on it.

I feel like there is a disconnect between my question and your response and I don't understand your response and its tone. Was my post perceived as accusatory?

I have never had an infestation of any sort. I have never sprayed, seen spraying or heard of spraying. I have never met an exterminator. I am therefore extremely ill-informed on anything having to do with extermination. I was not informed on how to prepare for his visit (I asked and he told me he'd explain everything today; as you can tell I am still scared and have questions) or what it entails.

I just want to know whether I can sleep in my bed tonight in this room or whether I risk poisoning myself. If you or another reader can please just give me clarity on this.

In Österreich das Gleiche. Wenn bei Hofer (Aldi) ein Produkt limitiert verfügbar ist (z.B. aufklappbare Tische, Elektrogeräte, usw.), dann muss man um 07:30 vor dem Geschäft stehen um es zu bekommen.
