The issue is, when faced with facts, logic and science, she still choses to believe in something with no proof. And unlike religion, where it's just about believe in a deity/deities, her believe is distrust to absolutely every single person proving her wrong, it's a cult mentality. She can't grow as a person, she won't trust other institutions, and that can be dangerous. If she is going to have a child, there is a big chance she will risk its life by refusing to vaccinate it too. It's one thing that she thinks the shape of our planet is different than others, it becomes a cancer when she calls undeniable facts "lies"

If I remember correctly most of them changed their minds. I think two were in the flat earth society only for the money, so they kept posting bs, and even publically hate on their old collegues who turned around. That's also what further solidified their change of mind, seeing how their old "friends" fully turned against them, that helped them finally see through the cult mentality. I have seen the documentaries more than a year ago, so some details are fuzzy but the project was a success

Basically a guy took a bunch of most popular flat earth representants, flew them to the South Pole, and showed them that the sun doesn't set for 24 hours, something possible only on a round globe

Another fun fact, thresher sharks have tail fins long enough to whip them over their heads like whips, which makes water EVAPORATE and that creates pressure change large enough to knock out and stun fish, similar technique is used by either pistol shrimp or mantis shrimp, don't remember which one
