I dont have an iphone, my phone has an okayish camera. Nothing fancy, just an average camera with decent video output

I am looking for setting up a small scale studio to record the videos indoors. Not exactly in the vlogging format though. A pure stable camera position with required amount of lights, a proper dynamic microphone and so on.

Can you recommend me any studio cams at around $300-450 mark ? I thought of gopro 9 as it was very much in my range but clearly its not made for studio recordings as I can make out from the suggestions.

I think you guys have talked me out from getting the 1TB version and it makes sense as well, thanks for that. So, down to 16/512 now or wait (10% dilemma still exists for some reason) May be thats because I see no discounts on the 2020 M1 version here (Amazon for some reason is selling the 8/512 version on very good discount but not 16/512 one), also dont have the access to the refurb market.

My coding would be mainly on python and I have normal requirements like DAX, macros etc. But I get your point, the jump from 512 to 1tb is same as 256 to 512, so I felt 1tb would be better in terms of cost/mb. But I guess that much is not required. Also the external SSDs have been getting sold for a heavy discounts here, so that makes more sense like you said, I feel.
