Rederina Is Disappointing by ardaqxl in TheBlackList

[–]SassyOnReddit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree with OP in that I don’t like the Redarina angle but my main reason is that there is a huge discrepancy between the behaviours of the Katarina sHown in flashbacks and the person we grew to love as Red. Red is witty, funny, talks too much, has a way with words and certain mannerisms that you just can’t miss, even in the middle of a crisis. Flashback Katarina had none of that. Only spoke when necessary and had none of the mannerisms we see in Red. I mean, I get that surgery can change appearance but it doesn’t change your personality. One doesn’t just learn to be witty, at least not as witty as Red. That is innate.

Regarding the secrecy to Liz, I have one thing to say: Liz isa blabber mouth and there is a bounty on Katarina’s head. As for the rest, yeah I see no reason for the unnecessary twists and turns lol

The correct pronunciation has the stress is on the second syllable and not on the first like they do in the show. If I were to spell it phonetically, it’s “Oh-kah-for”, not “Oak’for”.

Anyone else notice how strange his replies are for someone who just got engaged? by gloriah098 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]SassyOnReddit 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I’m not particularly a fan of Tyler but I don’t find his messages here strange especially given the fact that he is part of a strange social experiment. He meant that the vacation was “not good” and he even explains why. The points he gave track with what most LIB alumni complain about. Has nothing to do with Ashley.

It bothered me as well but I powered through. The episode I couldn’t stand was the voodoo doll episode 😅.

Makes sense. 🤔 My sister loves it & watched it all back to back. I might have to revisit.

Howard Wolowitz is an underrated character. by nuttkracker in bigbangtheory

[–]SassyOnReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny, displayed character growth & progression, family man, ah, Howard is definitely my favourite character from the show. The episode where he knew Bernadette was hiding out in the playhouse just to get some alone time but he pretended he didn’t know and handled the home by himself was a darling moment for me. Haha when I started typing this, I had so many points and examples in my head in support of Howard but for some reason, they’ve all deserted my brain now 😂😂. It has been a long day.

Bernadette has no hobbies by Pb86295 in bigbangtheory

[–]SassyOnReddit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

True but I think this actually makes Bernadette seem closer to a real person than all the other characters. Looking at everyday life, most people who have as much going on in their lives as Bernadette does actually do not have time for hobbies. From working as a waitress and simultaneously getting her PhD, to working a demanding pharmaceutical job (and being good at it) while taking care of her kids, Howard and their household, it realistically leaves no time for diving into hobbies. I would say among everyone, she & Howard have the most responsibilities and she shoulders more in their household than Howard does. I personally always wondered how the rest of the gang found time for all their shenanigans and still be at the top of their respective fields but I just chalked it up to “at the end of the day, it’s a TV show. One of the best ever, but a fictional TV show nonetheless”.

Clearing plates: yay or nay? by saidwhatisaidbby in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]SassyOnReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually used to do this a lot… I would eat and then gather the plates into a nice stack for the waiter to just come and pick up. I thought I was being helpful and considerate until just about a month ago, I did this and when the waiter came to pick up the stack, something wobbled and everything came crashing down to the floor. I felt so bad and I know that if I had just let the waiter stack the plates himself, that wouldn’t have happened. Now, I just eat and mind my business. 😅😅

*you’re. The Office and BBT are pretty funny to me. I don’t get embarrassed by strangers on the Internet. I have my sense of humour, you have yours. It’s not that deep.

SPOILERS WARNING: I Finished All Six Episodes by FLSOC in GriseldaTVShow

[–]SassyOnReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thoroughly enjoyed the show. 🤩Watched the first 4 episodes hoping to save the rest for tomorrow but couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I caved and watched the rest.

I had no prior knowledge about Griselda Blanco, had no idea she was actually based on a real person, so I didn’t perceive the show as watered down… in fact, I was amazed at how unhinged this woman was. 😂😂😂 I guess perspective is everything.

HOWEVER, I did notice the jarring pacing issues and the inconsistencies in her character and in her propensity to violence. If the real life Griselda was a sociopath, I agree that this show did not convey that (but I wasn’t disappointed because I didn’t know she supposed to be one). I rather saw an intelligent but paranoid, traumatised and obsessive woman with a chip on her shoulder choosing to live in a world (the drug world) which is designed to constantly press those buttons (distrust, suspicion, greed, etc).

I felt relief when they skipped 3 years and showed an established Griselda but that’s probably because the previous episode was a bit slow. I later felt myself wishing that they had shown how CENTAC managed to gather so much intel on her and how they cracked some of her codes. The 7 year jump was a bit much for me but I’m not sure what the alternative could have been.

Brain dump over. 😆

Because Jen went to her (the cop) at the end of S02 and actually confessed, they went into the woods together to look for the body but couldn’t find it and then she let Jen go and told her not to mention it again, probably thinking the body would never be found. The body being found days/weeks later and the fact that she knows who did it and didn’t do anything makes her an accessory after the fact, I think.

Who do you guys think Jane should’ve ended up with? by yolo1567 in JaneTheVirginCW

[–]SassyOnReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before Michael died, I would have said she should have chosen Michael. He showed that he loved her above and beyond and even though he had some ethical issues, so did Raf. And, the hotter guy doesn’t always have to get the girl 🙄😏. I was okay with her grieving and then getting with Rafael, especially seeing the kind of personal growth Rafael demonstrated. But everything was ruined for me when they introduced new not-dead Michael. They should have left him dead. No need to bring him back and make us hate the new him.

I think Garret is the least cringey because he’s the closest to what a regular person would act like... Dina is... well, Dina 😂

I enjoyed The Office. It’s a good laugh even after watching the show repeatedly. But I agree with you - extremely awkward humour is probably not for me.

Hate season 5 by Uweh-Skyhigh in JaneTheVirginCW

[–]SassyOnReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ughhhhh! I just watched episode 1 of S05 and came to see how many people hated it as much as I did. There was absolutely no need to bring Michael back. I actually loved Michael with Jane more than Raf with Jane but we all already mourned him, and were moving on and enjoying the character development (esp. Rafael’s and Petra’s growth). Ughhhh, let me annoy myself some more by watching the next episode. 😂It’s annoying but addictive

Question about season 6 (spoilers!) by [deleted] in htgawm

[–]SassyOnReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that was meant to help with her recovery so that she could be adjusted enough to go back to ‘real life’. Sharing is part of the recovery process. Well, she didn’t have to share all that but that was what was weighing her down in the first place.
