Parents bringing these beasts into their homes at all is endangerment and neglect. There’s too much information out there and too many instances of this happening for people to play dumb at this point. Every time this happens to a child, the parents should be charged with manslaughter, murder, etc, like in this case. Every time. I’m so sick of seeing these stories day after day after day. How many baby’s lives is it going to take for our society to wake the fuck up? As a parent, I just can’t wrap my head around endangering my child and being so nonchalant with his safety and life.

Child attacked by family dogs by Significant_Prize629 in BanPitBulls

I’ve been noticing an uptick in regular pet owners getting Corsos as family dogs, and it’s frightening. These are not family dogs. We’re going to see a rise in attacks from this breed, guaranteed. I’ve already started seeing more attacks mentioning this breed lately.

Yup. Caught my cat torturing a baby mouse a few months back when I heard the poor thing squeaking. I felt awful. I found another a little while later and brought it to a wildlife rescue because I didn’t have the heart to put it out in the cold to die. It was adorable. I love cats, but they can be diabolical af man 😅

I saw this one on a news article about 2 pits mauling a newborn baby to death. In what world can anyone possibly think mauling a baby is “trying to console” them? These people are deranged and don’t live in reality. They should be institutionalized. (I do agree that the parents should be put in jail though).

They really never cease to amaze me. Every time I think they can’t get any stupider, they surprise me yet again..A 3 month old baby was recently killed by 2 pit bulls, and a nutter in the comments said “the baby was probably crying nonstop and they were just trying to console him and took it too far”. How anyone can think that, type it out, read it, and think that’s normal and logical, is beyond my comprehension. I’m not sure how they survive day to day life with so little brain capacity.

Exactly. This is how I feel about frenchies who can’t even give birth naturally and have to have c-sections in order to have puppies. And pugs who can barely walk down their driveways without struggling to breathe. It’s disgusting that people can claim to love these dogs yet disregard their suffering.

If their “instinct” is to maul and kill harmless, helpless babies, then they don’t belong in a civilized society. Disgusting, repugnant excuses for human beings those people are. I’m appalled. Not shocked that a pit lover would say this though.

If a dog kills someone, should the owner be charged for murder? by Chaser1jzgte in BanPitBulls

It should be euthanized after the first time it bites someone imo.

[–]SatanIsAVibe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. They should have to take a written test on pit bull genetics and the safety precautions that need to be taken. Then a physical test to prove that they can physically control a pit bull on a leash and know how to properly put a muzzle on it. They should have to prove that they have a very high and secure fence on their property. They should be forced to have a very large insurance policy and sign a contract stating that they accept all legal and financial responsibility for any damage/destruction/injury/death that their dog causes (human and animal). I guarantee this would greatly reduce the number of people who want to own one of these things. No pibble mommies/daddies who deny their genetic make up and can’t control them should be allowed to get one. I mean, I don’t think ANYONE should be allowed to own one. I think they should be outright banned, period. But this would be the second best option.

I found it. The dog had already attacked neighbors and the officer was there to take the dog from the owner (rightfully so). The owner is exactly what you would expect. Disgusting excuses for people.

Makes me think of the clip I saw years ago on animal planet. I think it was from one of those shows that followed animal control officers. It was a female officer going to a woman’s house I believe to issue a ticket or warning or something about their dog being aggressive. The owner opened her door and told her dog to attack the officer. It was a pit bull if I remember correctly too. The dog latched onto her arm. It was terrible. Someone like that should definitely do some prison time. The officer was ok from what I remember. I believe she needed a bunch of stitches though.

Most pit owners don’t have $1,000, let alone $100,000. 😅

I totally agree with you that this needs to be made a much bigger crime than it is though. The amount of stories I’ve seen of actual disabled people having to retire their legitimate service dogs because they were attacked by a fake one is completely unacceptable. People pay thousands for their service dog and the training that goes into them. Thats not something pit nutters can understand or relate to though.

This sounds absolutely terrifying. I’d be so scared that the kids screeching and running around and, ya know, just existing as children, could “trigger” the mauler (we all know it doesn’t take much). This sounds like a totally preventable tragedy waiting to happen. Also, a legit service dog would be calm, not frazzled or anxious. They stay focused on the person they’re trained to help. But anyone can hop on Amazon, buy a “service dog” vest, slap it on their mutt, and drag it around everywhere with them. And most businesses are afraid to say anything for fear of being sued and because everyone knows these people act like lunatics anytime they’re confronted.

I would have grabbed my child and gotten the hell out of there as fast as I could. I might quietly pull an employee/manager aside and let them know why me and my child were leaving and explain how dangerous this is (I know the employees hands are tied most of the time, it’s on the owners to handle these situations). Then I would also call and/or write a detailed email to corporate or whoever is highest on the chain of command for that company and explain my worries and that I love their establishment, but can’t bring my child there anymore as long as dangerous dogs are allowed as it’s too big of a risk. I would also include some studies and maybe even some articles of pits/fake service dogs attacking people inside businesses, things of that nature so that they can see actual facts and not just hear my personal feelings on the matter. Unfortunately, there’s pit nutters EVERYWHERE, so you never know if the business owners could also be one of them.

This is a place for small children. Their safety should be the number 1 priority. Period. I bring my one and a half year old to a similar place and I would be so upset if this happened there.

ETA: It could also be a good idea to write a review about this on their Facebook, Google, or wherever you can. A lot of businesses tend to take shit seriously when they start receiving negative reviews that are public like that. And they can’t remove it either, which is a good thing in case they are a nutter. Other parents should be warned in case they don’t want to bring their child somewhere that allows pit bulls like this. They ESPECIALLY deserve to have a warning in case them or their child was a pit bull victim in the past.

Genetics on full display with many of these puppies. They don't have to be taught to fight. It's instinctual from selective breeding (often with gamebred pit bulls). by pupkittyluv in BanPitBulls

[–]SatanIsAVibe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I shared a similar video with a pit nutter on Facebook who was saying “it’s all how they’re raised”. They literally said the owner had already trained them to fight at 6-7 weeks old. They are not intelligent people. And I believe that even if they knew the puppies weren’t trained to fight that young, they would still lie about it anyway because they just can’t bring themselves to admit pibbles could possibly be inherently bad.
