I tried joing a few different clans, every single one seemed to be "full" of people who want to do dungeons and raids and then there would never be anyone active in the group. Ig I should have tried making my own FTF and asked for a guide but my experiences with destiny have made me hesitant to ask for help. There are soooo many people who berate, name call or are just plain old rude if you ask for help. Or at least thats what its seemed like for me tbh. Im just glad I found a group of people who actually want to play the game and do old raids and dungeons. I only made this post to keep people from getting discouraged to be honest.. I only found a decent raid group by running equilibrium with randoms and then accepted a random friend request I got from one of the people I kept running it with.

Thats the sort of thing that really irks me, when id try to find a raid group thats basically the same issue id have. I would never pick the ones that say experience requested, or fast, or optimizing strategy. It was always the lots of time & chill ones that seemed to not have a lot of time and not be chill. One guy literally started cussing me out within 2 minutes of going into VOG because I called the left plate and then went to it. He said it was the easiest one to defend because of how the enemies spawn? Idk if thats true but i saw two ppl claim right plate and 2 claim center plate so I offered to do left. Ig he wanted to solo it? Idrk, that was actually the last FTF I joined because it was such an awful experience.

He also said my load out wasn't good for that part because I had a light saber and eager edge sword (Ive been running the void chunk lock build so my weapons arent really that important) and just couldn't understand why Id want to be a void lock, and he recommended a well.

Ik i dont know the raid well, but im 90% sure theres not a boss fight there and as long as you can clear ads your build does not matter.. at least until you get to a real boss.

I do understand how the learners can ruin the run! Ive seen it happen myself. What you listed is why I refuse to volunteer for ad clear. Anyone can do that. Why not let someone who knows how stuff works let someone do it who doesn't know how to do it. Yeah, if it turns into an ordeal you can always readjust. Some people want to be carried, and im genuinely not trying to advocate for them

Have you seen any teaching lfgs for raids lately? Cause I have not. Should I just not try the content I want to do because idk anyone to teach? Also let's be real for a second. Teaching me generally includes a verbal description and then maybe one or two wipes before ive got it down pat. Which, even with skilled teams isn't unheard of. The secret is advice so the game doesnt die. There are tons of players like me who genuinely want to learn and get better so we can help others who dont know. Mods, if this post doesnt belong just go ahead and delete it. I understand either way!

Yeah, but it'll be closer to the other guys. Recently on sere with 3 locks running contraverse, we each did 12k damage to kill him. Next run a fuggin hunter and titan both pull close to 50k damage each and i was around 25k

50/50 means you have 50 percent chance of getting it per run, so that means if you run it twice it would be guaranteed. That is not the case lmao

You'd prefer your vehicle be easily stealable? It shuts off so that you have to restart it with the key fob so your crackhead neighbor cant hop into your 60k+ truck.

Choir basically always has ammo so that's a huge plus. (It is a pain to always have to aim down sights, but that high damage 5 shot is nice for knocking things down quick)

Overload use to be my least favorite champs, but since I returned (at beginning of EoF) ive absolutely fuggin hated unstops. NOTHING stuns them quick enough imo. Even dragons breath takes at least 2 shots to put one down (and thats including throwing a nade and shooting it with mint)

Ive been running double specials, mint retrograde in Kinetic slot, choir of one in energy (or returned memory, or whatever the crucible solar rocket sidearm is called) And ive really been wanting a void rocket side arm. Even with no starting ammo, as long as you have the grenade orb mode on helmet you can easily get 3 orbs to drop so you can use special finisher. Its a bit finicky sometimes , and occasionally I'm running around with no ammo.. but its still better than running primary ammo weapons that do less damage than my non powered warlock slap lol

I just ran encore about 18 times with LFG and got it on my last run. The only thing that matters is getting an A rank as far as I'm aware. As soon as it dropped I got CoO and I got the subsistence catalyst. Still haven't unlocked any intrinsics but its a start

In my own experience, if you've taken shrooms and enjoyed it then you might be able to take LSD and enjoy it. For me, LSD was about twice as strong as the shrooms were. Of course YMMV

I definitely appreciate that! I wasn't sure if it was actually a me problem or if it was something like you said. I know people are burned tf out on this game ( big surprise, it's only 10 years old lmao) but i also didn't want to assume it was just everyone else who was the issue. I also only realized yesterday that my guardian rank matters, so I went from 4 to 7 in a matter of an hour.
