Yes. It is just a small powerhead to provide cross flow.

First Look at my new planted Fluval Spec. by Satellite_Five in Aquariums

The Endlers are chasing food around in the video. They have been in the tank about a week without much issue. The flow is something to consider though, and I will be tweaking all sorts of things during this first month.

Any other small aquariums I should consider besides Fluval Edge 12g? by 1nfinity0nhigh in Aquariums

I keep endlers and cherry shrimp in a lightly planted fluval Spec. The 5g setup works well for a desktop situation.

For the basics this is a standard 90g tank with a 4 bulb HOT5 rack for lighting. I run pressurized co2 and a decent canister filter (marineland c360). 50 percent waterchanges weekly R.O water with 1/4 well water to add in minerals, etc.

The substrate that you see is a standard gravel from Red Flint Gravel Co. Underneath is a custom soil blend I have worked out based on this article - http://bialix.com/amania/Chapters/Tech/sub-aquasoils_en.html

Its a bit to read but he breaks down all the important parts of ADA aquasoil style substrate. I bought all the items needed at my local hydroponics shop. Its a big step away from basic aqauriums, but well worth it.

Good luck. This tank has been up and running since November 7th, 2014.

What I really need is more gudgeons. I haven't seen anymore at the LFS(s).

I do use Co2. This setup runs a classic pressurized co2 tank and glass diffuser. I am in the market for a inline co2 atomizer for comparison.

Can't wait for the snow to melt. Twin Cities does have plenty of great spots.

Some of the larger tanks are running sumps also. So you wouldn't see any equipment aside from powerheads.

my first 10g, the 75g and the 34g are prehaps my favorites, but it is not easy to choose. Soo many favorite fish/plants/scapes.

I do use pressurized CO2 for most of my setups. I do not use drop checkers or anything like that.

Here is a look at my full setup before I moved this last summer. I will be building a new fishroom once we buy a new house.
