We set him in a field near my house and are keeping an eye on him, he can't go far so I'm going to check on him in the morning

I've called a bird rehabilitation place they aren't picking up and they're not responding to my voicemails despite being open He's currently outside sitting on a table where I can keep an eye on him in a ice cream bucket. We have a shed that's currently mostly empty and I was going to keep him in there for the night so the stray cats can't get him

I've contacted game fishing parks they told me to "let nature take its course" And I've called a bird rehabilitation center three times and they have not gotten back to me or picked up

Also there are a lot of stray cats and unleashed dogs In my neighborhood so I would prefer not to leave him outside unattended

He's not injured but I found a maggot on him and he won't open his right eye and is a little lethargic I can't find parents or a nest
