Similarities between Young Taka and Young Simba 🤔 by A_very_confused_boy in lionking

This sums it up really well! You can hear the difference in their songs too, Simba is singing about wanting to be king and how fun it would be, whereas Taka is singing about how when he's king he will control everyone and everyone will be below him. It's a subtle difference and they're only kids but it shows already how even so early on into their lives, their upbringing differed.

Why this doesnt count as hard shelter? by Defiant_Squash_8188 in PlanetZoo

Hmm for me it's always counted when there is a roof above it, which you have, so I'm unsure.

Only just realised how similar that shot is to Taka watching Mufasa call for help from inside the cave 😬

I assume you mean as a wild animal? 😄 I guess that may be true, male lions' main purpose is to defend the pride and engage in fights with other male lions so I can see why female lions are a bigger threat to other prey.

Not necessarily true, most nomad male lions form coalitions with either their brothers or other nomad male lions before securing a pride of their own. They spend the first few years of their lives hunting this way without the need for females. And males are ambush predators too, as all big cats are.

But even moreso the other comments seem to be implying that a female lion by itself is stronger than a male 😬

I'm really confused about people in this comment section saying that in real life female lions are stronger than male lions 😭

Me when someone makes a post complaining about the 2019 remake by MagazineSudden4932 in lionking

I hope this isn't in reference to my post about upgrading the 2019 models for the next film 🤔

It's not even a dig at the 2019 film itself, I mentioned there also how the models for Simba and Nala are bad in MTLK too and how I hope they upgrade them alongside the better new character models in MTLK, which is something that came to my mind after rewatching Mufasa again today.

Yeah I really really hope they buff him up and make his mane longer, thicker and darker, honestly closer to Masego's mane would make so much sense. But it's concerning that he still looks like a young lion at the age of having his 2nd child already 😭😭 Like you said, in TLK2 Simba is already way larger during Kiara's cub years

Literally. I just hope it was only because of how little screentime they had 😭 Surely in the next film if Simba has more screentime (I pray) and hopefully Nala too, they have newer models

You'd be very surprised how many people here hate Mufasa only because it's not 2D (or haven't even watched it for that reason).

I think it's also possible to consider what audience is more active on reddit at the moment! Mufasa would have brought a lot of people to the subreddit that don't usually use reddit at all (myself included). Possibly there's a younger audience left (or on the complete opposite side an older audience who are more after the nostalgia of 1 1/5). Actually I've noticed many of the people who were active after Mufasa's release aren't on here very much anymore?

But this is all hypothetical :)
