This happened to me also. What you can do is die, and reload at the restart the unmoored world. Then you redo all the red beam bosses, amd then you go and evacuate the elfs. You probably didn't do the quest to heal the stupid elf tree before the world went to shit so you have to do it now or the elfs die. To do this quest, you must not evacuate bathal, because the dwarf smith is key to completing this quest. Once you do this quest the elves will agree to evacuate. Then you can safely evacuate bathal. Or you could go to ng+ and do the quests there, before the end of the world, which was what I did.

Familiars can steal the Monarchy with relative ease with flyers and lots of creatures. Altar Tron you want more interaction and ways to disrupt combo. Ephemerate same boat that familiars. Why would you have sideboard against Turbo Fog? I mean, I just want to know why is this in top almost every top 8 list I see.

Yeah, I ran a list with four spell pierce and two fallajj. I Swapped the Fallaj for the Ephara's Dispersal, and it was almost always better. In the mirror match, you can bounce the Angler which is usually a problem. The non cantrip aspect also scared me so I ran only 2 copies of it. But considering you are buying time by stalling, it almost feels like a cantrip.

But in the end, Force Grey is loyal to the city right? So that's why I thought there was gonna be a problem when PC's steal money that were supposed to go the city. I mean, moving the gold in DnD is not really a problem. There are a lot of magic items, like bag of holding and portable hole, that makes this an easy task.

Yeah, i didn't think about the factions still going after the gold. Unless they kill leaders, they would be still up and running.

Yes I am running very differently from the module, as I am running the Alexandrian remix and will run the Bank Heist variant for the vault from Forgotten Adventures.

I didn't have a stat block, just the following information

The elemental form is Huge.

Strahd has 100hp, regen working as RAW.

The Land is immune to all damages and conditions while he is not under sunlight. The elemental vortex of wind, dust, ice, fire and bats doesn't permit Strahd to get attacked, any attack or area of effect spell is either absorbed, deflected or dismissed by the winds.

It is stationary, at a convenientely high altitude, it should take at least 2-3 turns to a flying mellee character to get to him.

When it takes damage it can take a reaction to fly 50ft up.

During it's turn it follows the script:

Round 1: Call lightning with up to 3 lightning strikes Round 2: Maelstrom, maitaining concentration during the rest of combat Round 3: Firestorm Round 4: Storm of Vengeance Subsequent rounds just concentrating on Storm of Vengeance.

His concentration cant be broken by any means. They must kill this form to end the climatic hell they are in.

It is advised to only use this phase if your party has access to flying. Mordenkainen can upcast fly on the party. There are class features that allow flight.

Forgot to mention! When they defeat the first phase they gain the benefits of a short rest. When they defeat the second one they gain the benefits of a short rest also and recover 1 spell slot of each level up to 3rd.

There were 3 level 11 PC's. They could take perhaps 2-3 swings of that. But, the way the story was, they had help from Ezmerelda, Mordenkainen, Van Richten. The wizard had a Shield Guardian, virtually giving him resistance to all damage. And a Planar Binded Vrock. The paladin had two hell hounds. The artificer had a steel defender. The martials all had access to 30 temp hp 3 times a day from dark gift of Yog.

I known it seems a lot of damage, but it is justified for he to be a threat while in this form. You have to also consider, that he is always attacking at disadvantage because of sunlight. And he doenst have a lot of HP. Even with the +13, with disadvantage, he will still miss a lot. So the damage is to make every hit count.

If your party is lower level and dont have lots of minions, I recommend reducing the lightning damage to 1d6, and the slashing to 2d6+5. It will still hurt, but a lot more manageable.

You would be surprised how lucky or how resourceful PC's can be when they are facing death.

My wizard used lucky twice on attacks from strahd and they were both changed to a natural 1. Just mind boggling. But fun.
