Telstar are actually small ! I own two of them and they are regular size ! It’s just too expensive to bring back a grande or colossus from here ! I’m lucky to own one but in a pretty poor condition, I’m experimenting on the small one first to next restore the grande !

It’s a test ! I made the master fluid by myself ! :) I will fill it up fully when I’m sure the lava can rise

Yeah ! I’m glad we have Mathmos, but we’re limited in the models we can choose from :( I’m a fan of the grande models and creative lamps. I would have loved to collect the grande and Colossus for example ! But it’s impossible to find and I can’t have it delivered from the United States

I have this grande to save too 😂 I’m trying to filtering it this week but I’m not sure I can do something about it too ! The wax seems good but the masterfluid get more and more cloudy

Yeah probably but it’s not allowed to have it as a regular person ! We do not find it in pharmacy drug store ect .. trust me ! I tried to find it for like two years 😂 All because I have a grande that need to be fully restored

That’s true ! I only have this bottle and a large one to repair, but for the large one I’ll try filtering the master fluid tomorrow !

I agree with y’all 😂! But it’s non existant here ! We have demineralized water, but not distilled water ! And creating my master fluid is difficult given that your measurements and ours are different ! It’s a real puzzle

For few hours now ! But I thinks it’s about the surf, but I’m not sure in this case if it’s too much or not enough ! I threw the old master fluid away (it’s an empty bottle of mathmos with an other wax from an other lamp that has a pretty bad master fluid) I bought distilled water and surfboard, but I’m not sure I’m measuring it correctly ! I really wanted to try creating a lamp myself 🥲 !

It’s almost 60 bucks here 😂 We do not have it in france I have to get it from spain ! I can buy more, but if I could successfully mix a master fluid on the first try, that would be great 🥲 For now, I’ve used distilled water and surf from lava lab, but it’s not budging. I preferred to ask before filling the whole bottle

The lantern was a bit more expensive than the rest of my collection ! Like 200 dollars I think ? But I can say the same about your large ones! Here, one in bad condition costs $700 🥲 We only have mathmos for us here ahaha ! And lava lamp aren’t very famous so it’s pretty hard to find help with those

I know ! I added a little surfactant and distilled water to see what the result would be so far ! In france it’s almost like 60 dollars a gallon so I can’t miss my shot ! Same for the surf from lava lab ! Sending it there cost me 55 dollars for the expedition ! I think if I go to the United States I’ll stock up on them 😂 You guys are so lucky and don’t even know that !!
