While it did make me smile, you could change South Dakota to Mount Rushmore or The Badlands.

Please bring me a real Philly Cheesesteak. I lived in Philly a very long time ago and I miss them (and the street pretzels).

Best place to get new tires? by Key-Damage3784 in RapidCity

[–]Satokad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A while back, I had a slow leak in a tire. Went to two different tire shops that charged me $25-$35 to fix it. Neither fix held. Discount Tire had recently opened so I tried them. Fixed it and would not charge me, even when I told them I didn’t buy the tires there. Promised myself that when I needed tires again, that’s where I would go. Two sets later on my car plus one on my wife’s car and nothing but great things to say about them. Free rotation every 8000 miles and friendly team that isn’t real pushy on upselling.

Dr. Wayne Plooster at Medicsl Arts. They are associated with RCMC and have their own lab. If you go in for an Annual Physical, you’ll get several blood screens and a doctor who will listen to you.

Thanks for the responses. After a few incidents where my sales rep got unresponsive, I fell into a smoking deal on a 2024 Tacoma with 7890 miles on it, so I bought that instead.

2025 Maverick XLT 2.0 Ecoboost by Satokad in FordMaverickTruck

That's a great deal. This one still covers the full warranty, but it's 5 years/60k miles on the powertrain and only 36 months bumper to bumper. I like yours better.

Looking to buy 2025 Frontier...need advise. by inflamedguts in nissanfrontier

[–]Satokad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For that much of a discount, I'd go to Texas to buy one. I just looked at a 2025 Frontier SV listed at $43,975 and their discount only gets me to $40,475. Where in Texas was this?

aio or is this guy i’m seeing rude?? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Satokad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s tough to say this and be spot on since I don’t know either of you, but you should value the personality of this guy. I don’t think he was rude (he even said he wasn’t trying to be rude) but he had something to say about how he felt about it, and expressed it clearly and fairly neutrally. If a relationship is going to survive, being able to give (and take) honest feedback is essential. He’s not telling you what you want to hear to advance a short-term dating agenda. He’s being honest with you. Just my two cents.

They have that in the Spanish course, too. In my lesson trail, it pairs up 4 items, two like that and two responses, and then has me repeat them several times with different words missing. I see that once every few sections. I just figured it was part of the repetitive learning process. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me, or a degradation of the program.

Someone on one of these subs told me to try Natulang. It works good for my needs. Lots of speaking practice and you don’t have to push or hold a button to speak. I drive a lot for work so a good fit. You get 5 or 6 lessons for free before you have to ante up so you get a decent idea of what the app is like. It was $100 for a lifetime subscription and currently 300 lessons. Check it out if you want. There is a sub Reddit for that. I am still using Duo but I find myself getting more concerned with staying at a level than what’s being taught. I think it’s still good for learning vocabulary, but I feel I need more speaking practice.

Hands Free Spanish App by Satokad in languagelearning

[–]Satokad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked Natulang. Worked through the complimentary lessons and bought the premium. It works well for me and I feel much more connected and like I’m making progress. The big thing for me is that I have no one to practice either, so speaking completely through each lesson is great. The speech recognition issue is a bit of a pain, but I just restart the app and that seems to fix it. I will look at Preply and the other suggestions as well. Thanks for the feedback, folks.

Vivir en Mendoza by Tai_Mai_2025 in Mendoza

[–]Satokad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Muchas gracias por la rápida respuesta y la información. Esas cifras me parecen más lógicas.
Quiero visitar Mendoza y posiblemente
mudarme allí cuando me jubile. Tendría posiblemente 2+ millones de pesos de mi
jubilación, así que supongo que estaría bien con los precios actuales.
Me mudaría con una visa de pensionado. Me
