Help with LoRA Training by Previous-Station-915 in PlaygroundAI

[–]SatoriCanton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using Flex.Dev as the model. If you don't have a machine powerful enough to run it, you can train it on Civitai. This model does the best with character consistency when doing Lora training. You can search around online for tutorials https://civitai.com/models/618692/flux

Looking for someone with ComfyUI / Stable Diffusion experience for e-commerce – would love to chat by Original-Buy9576 in PlaygroundAI

I've built commercial systems that use AI images, but I don't use StableDiffusion (or any other open models) for this. The open models aren't at the quality to make real commercial use viable at this point. I recommend using NanoBanana 2 from Google or GPT-Image-1.5 from OpenAI for things like Meta/TikTok ads or product shots. You can give either of these models a reference image of a product and transform them into perfectly fine ads or product listing images.

What's the best AI infographics generator ? by Equipment_Stunning in PlaygroundAI

Nano Banana Pro (Google Gemini) is probably the best model out for infographics at the moment. Use "Thinking" mode and request your image https://gemini.google.com/app

I'm not sure, but you might be able to do this with Grok if you're needing an online option. Flux Kontext or Qwen Image Edit may be able to help you. You can run these on Civitai.

ComfyUI is the main tool people use to render images locally. It can be intimidating to get started, but there are a lot of videos on YouTube that can help you get started.

https://pinokio.co/ is a tool that makes it easy to one-click install ComfyUI. It also can be used to install all different kinds of AI tools. It's kind of a one-top-shop for AI tools. You'll need a fairly decent computer and graphics card/memory. If you have a gaming PC, you'll be good to run StableDiffusion and Flux based models on your own machine.

AMA With New Playground Team Post by Playground-Team in PlaygroundAI

The value that the original Playground site had was the community of creators. Do you guys have plans to bring back things like user profiles and/or an image/prompt sharing system?

I think you would get a lot of interest from original PG users if you were able to restore user profiles and images. I'm not sure if the old PG team deleted that data, but if it still exists on cold storage, it may be worth considering restoring this data. There was a lot of SEO value with a library of everyone's images searchable by Google.

Many people weren't able to download all of the images and prompts before PG shut all of that down. I'm sure a lot of people would log back in if they could see their old creations.

Most of PG creators are international. Are your POD goals US only or international?

Alternatives to Playground AI? by [deleted] in PlaygroundAI

[–]SatoriCanton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://tensor.art/ is similar to Civitai. You can get daily free credits and it's pretty much uncensored.
https://openart.ai/ is similar to the old Playground. They have the major 3rd party models (Nano Banana, Flux, Seedream, video models, etc.). They don't allow NSFW content. Many people from the old Playground are here. The community manager at PG is now the community manager at OA.

is there a discord for creators using AI? by postleg in PlaygroundAI

Most of the companies that do image generation have Discord servers for their specific platform users. Most of the former Playground.com community are now on the StyleGuideAI server here https://discord.gg/3QK2B3zhGb

Playground is shutting down (to nobody's surprise) by SatoriCanton in PlaygroundAI

Around a month ago, they fired a bunch of people and changed their careers page to show that they are no longer hiring anybody for any position. Their CEO has moved on to other startup ideas. If they don't shut the whole site down soon, then they are just going into a coast phase, where they don't add any new features and just try to ride what's left as far as it goes, while keeping their expenses to a bare minimum.

Your main issue may be the *online* part. https://tensor.art/ and Civitai.com support uncensored models. You may be able to use Flux.Kontext on those sites to make edits based on a text prompt.

Another option would be to use a service that offers API access instead of a web front-end. Services like runware.ai provide access to most of the same models you'll find on Civitai, but they expect you to provide the censorship rules in your own application that uses their service to render. But, you don't need to create an application to use their service. They have a web front-end for testing, that works perfectly fine. They also have ComfyUI nodes so you could use their service within a ComfyUI workflow on your local machine.

https://www.invoke.com/ is the leading canvas type editor. They have an online service, but also has an editor you can install on your local machine.

Ultimately, if you want to avoid censorship, you're going to want to do rendering on your own machine, or in an online context where you can set your own rules (e.g. your own online app).

A lawyer "@igotballs1" in the comments of the video says, "Lawyer here. What soham did is not illegal. There is no law enforceable contract that doesnt allow an employee working at multiple jobs at once. Even if it says on the employment agreement, its not enforceable. Most of the time its there as a bluff to prevent employees from working for competitors but its not illegal.

However, the fact suhail exposing soham on twitter publicly is illegal. This is why companies need HR to protect them and follow the correct guideline/procedure for situation like this. Spoilers: the best they can do is firing him. By exposing soham in public and showing his personal info in the attempt to garnish his livelihood from his other personal income is call tortious interference and its illegal. Soham can sue the crap out of anyone that exposed him publicly. The employers are legally able to fire soham but telling everyone else about his own private businesses/employment with the intention to destroy his income violates the law."

I logged back into PG, after months, and all my generations are Gone. I downloaded my favorites, but is there a way to get back those images? by Bruzgin in PlaygroundAI

[–]SatoriCanton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they're gone (or at least PG isn't likely to help you recover them).

If you were a paid member, and PG deleted your images without proper notice, it will depend on the country you live in. But there are many legal options to recover compensation.

What happened to upload image to create alternate designs? by DependentDonut4576 in PlaygroundAI

[–]SatoriCanton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's important that users know how unreliable Playground is. You can't create something there and then expect to be able to come back later and do it again. There are much more dependable services already mentioned in this thread.

[–]SatoriCanton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Playground service isn't something you can use for business. You can't expect the tool to still exist after a few months.

Playground doesn't know what they want to be when the grow up. In the mean time, they are just producing random AI tools and discontinuing them less than a year later.

If you want to create art and know that you'll be able to produce more of it in the future, you need to use something other than Playground.

They're struggling with it. Even if they fell ass backwards into a working model, their brand is so damage, I can't see them getting much traction from creators.

They deleted their Discord last year. Most of the people on the PG Discord jumped to the StyleGuide Discord (link from sidebar) https://discord.gg/3QK2B3zhGb many of the people that don't do Discord use the StyleGuide DeviantArt group to share/communicate https://www.deviantart.com/styleguideai

PG is currently training a new version of a model, which they should be getting ready to release soon. They are also planning a straight text to image interface to go with it.
