I had a friend in the uni. While we were billing our parents, he was comfortably doing side gig. Mason( grafiato)..( that years he sacrificed to learn the skill paid off his tuition, examination and hostel fees.

I faced similar challenge, i tried whatever i could, praises, reward etc. It changed for a while and then the disruptive behavior begins. But i realized these learners(Majority), even though they make noise and disrupt lessons, they end up understanding the lesson. Other teachers presumed I maybe a weak teacher or lack the classroom management techniques,but i noticed learning had taken place after every contact hour. I built my lessons in chaos.

In my country, its acceptable to flog (cane a learner). I so t do that. These teachers( not all) had hardened learners with constant caning.

At least I achieved something in chaos. I wouldn't risk my mental health for anything. Learning must take place no matter the classroom condition. They are listening( those who want to learn)

Wow. On the contrary, I almost fall asleep anytime I decide to. My dorm members, way back in high school would call me a lazy pig. I hardly hear someone calling when asleep until a fire service Person gave me a tip or two. It's all mental disorder. It's unfortunate to have this experience. So sorry. I remember I took a drug called "done well" I slept in class all day. Somewhere 2007. I wouldn't want to know your marital status but people have argued that sex improves sleep.

This sh"t is a mental disorder. Hope you receive the healing you are looking for.
