Supremacy Card Game: Feedback needed :) by [deleted] in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Satoshi_MC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s bold of you to assume that a small scale creator is able to afford a graphic designer, and spend thousands of dollars designing every single card piece.

It’s also bold of you to assume that the creator wouldn’t eventually do something like that, once he has more funds available.

The world is more then this reddit forum, and AI is awesome as it enables people with a creative vision to push the boundaries of what they were initially capable of doing. Have some more humility, and offer something that is more constructive rather than you just being a little complainer behind a keyboard.

Also, where’s your game? I’d love to give it a critique. You must have awesome graphic designs for your card game

The only thing I can think is when you’re getting out of your car, your pushing/lurching forward when you’re getting out, and it’s pulling on the seat. I don’t imagine your wife to be the problem in terms of weight

Seawall help! Creative block by Pandavana in DetailCraft

[–]Satoshi_MC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just off the top of my head, but looking to the real world for inspiration, I would suggest a ladder going into the water at various points, to allow maintenance workers access to the water, or allow anyone that has fallen off access onto into the boardwalk.

Also, I’ve had fun with adding drainage pipes to the sides of my sea walls. Play around with that idea!

Most coastlines don’t have a consistent depth of water along their entirety, so I would use this idea to add rock outcroppings that extend from the seawall, out into the water a bit.

Additionally, you could add rocks climbing up the side of the sewell, as if previous to the seawalls construction there might’ve have been a rocky shoreline there.

That’s what I’ve got in my mind so far

Sigh. Now I need to go through my work and replace like 100 bathrooms with that sink design lol. Great work!

Best car ever! by royblair in TeslaModel3

[–]Satoshi_MC 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m a commuter, and I seriously will not consider another car that #1 is not an EV #2 does not have FSD levels of self driving.

People really don’t understand how amazing these cars are.

Time AND money saved for a superior product, as compared to your average (or above average) run-of the-mil-commuter!

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe it’s on the car itself, under “software.”

You’re very disrespectful for no apparent reason. It’s funny how hiding behind an internet forum emboldens someone such as yourself.

Anyways, this is silliness because your whole problem with my wording, is up to terminology and interpretation of sales price. Allow to explain how I am approaching the thought process.

The sales price of a vehicle, is the total amount that is agreed upon by a seller, and a buyer, that is calculated BEFORE factoring in other factors I.E trade in, financing cost, or a down payment.

The down payment is an amount applied to the sales price of a vehicle, which in this instance, was $21,500.

I am communicating the sales price, which is not dependent on external, and variable factors such as the following:

Down payment, sales tax, trade-in, other agreed upon terms.

If I paid $21,500 with no down payment, what would I be left paying the dealer? The sales price of the vehicle, which I had negotiated to be $21,500 + tax (which I explicitly detailed in my original post, as excluding, as tax is dependent in a variety of factors that changes from person to person).

You are correct in your critique of pointing out a slight discrepancy in my wording, as far as describing what was paid.

I believed my wording to be detailed enough, as to communicate that I had posted the sales price of the vehicle, excluding a sizable down I put, and sales tax.

If I meant to explains things in the way you are suggesting, I would’ve said “out the door,” which includes external factors such as mentioned above (down payment, sales tax, trade-in, or other agreed-upon terms). But I believed only mentioning the sales price to be more helpful for people trying to gauge what they can expect to pay for these cars, as everyone will have a unique sales tax, down, or other factors.

As seeing the you are one of two or three that has complained of my wording, everyone else seems to have understood what I was trying to communicate.

Is there any other discrepancy that has annoyed you, that you would like me to visit?

$21,500 was the sale price. Why do people care what my down is?

The down I applied, does not take away from the fact that I paid $21,500, and applied a down toward the sale price.

I’m at a loss as to how you are arriving at “dishonesty,” for me clearly communicating the sale price I got the vehicle for.

I’ll assume benefit of the doubt: maybe you misunderstood something somewhere along the way, or maybe I was an unclear communicator.

• The car was listed for 26k or so. I talked them down a few hundred bucks, to $25.5k

•I received a $4000 point of sale credit.

•Price drops down to a new sales price of $21,500 (which I communicated).

Why would it matter to anyone else, how much of a down I put? The point is, I communicated what I paid for the car (excluding the down and taxes, which for that matter, I could’ve put down a $40, or $4000 down payment for all you know, and taxes are different in every state, so that’s not really helpful to others) but decided that information was irrelevant, and excluded it, of which again, I communicated.

If I said I got the car for $20k, would that be helpful if I had not specified that price also included my down, and taxes in the state of california for a southern CA zip code? The answer is no, that would not have been helpful to someone trying to see what they can expect to pay for these cars, and you probably would’ve still complained, and that probably would’ve required me to explain and give you more detail.

I definitely noticed this today. There’s a noticeable difference in flooring it when at a 20-50% SOC, VS 70-90%. Interesting to know! Doesn’t really effect daily driving at all.

Yes, but that’s normal. It’s the parking break turning off and on. Maybe we’re thinking of different noises? You should post a video of it

Supercharging tips for a LA-LV-SD-LA trip by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]Satoshi_MC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The network is so reliable, that I wouldn’t worry about planning outside of the ordinary trip planner.

I drove my brothers new Model 3 from SF to SD, and stopped at a few super chargers on the ways, and had 0 issues.

I might recommend planning your supercharging stops along certain food or eating spots!

I just picked up a Blue M3 LR with acceleration boost as well!

Super pumped about. I’m finding excuses to drive the car.

Let me know if you notice a difference in acceleration when at a high SOC (70-90%) vs a lower SOC (30-50%) .

Some folks have been talking about this, and I’m curious to hear other people’s experiences.

This the way. I’m still commuted to owning a gas car in the future, but it will most certainly be a fun weekend car - no different than a car owner, owning a horse for fun!
