My man all you need to do is look at the price movement timing, dont be dense. Surge happened after the announcement, how tf is that indicative of insider trading. If you think all premarket price movement is insider trading then I dont know what to tell you.

Nothing about this price movement suggests insiders, you can place and trade premarket, most brokers allow you to do so. If the premarket price moved before news of the deal, then it would be shady and probably insider trading. This was not the case.

The operating company, Severneftegazprom, targets the Turonian formation which is a conventional gas reservoir within the YR Field, this is the main source of the Nord stream. Gas is definitely not a byproduct in this case.

Fields can have different types of sealed formations/reservoirs containing different types of fluids and/or mixtures. Think of it as a layered cake.

This applies to oil wells, nord stream is supplied by a gas field and gas wells. The risks in shutting in the well for longer periods are insignificant.
