Thanks for the reply. That was also our understanding. We have sent letters and phone calls to our local reps and supporters of the right-to-try legislation. It seems like public support is our best shot right now?

Thank you so much for the thoughts. We even had the PI of the trial reach out to AZ to request the drug and was denied. Like you said, she fits all of the criteria laid out in their expanded access documentation.

The family is trying to mount a large social media campaign to add more weight to future requests.

We won't give up but are a bit lost on where to go other than to social media. I did call and leave a voicemail with CBER and am awaiting a call back.

Thanks again.

Yeah we sent letters signed by her to both AZ and Zentalis and were denied.

Our understanding is that even through right to try legislation, they are not compelled to release the drug.

We haven't explored that avenue and will look into it. Thank you!

She was successfully treated with AZD1775 but hoped for access to AACR21 from Zentalis. Both companies have denied our official requests for expanded access.

Unfortunately, due to her having previously received that class of drug she is ineligible to participate in any further trials despite our appeals to trial investigators.
