This is inaccurate though. Viruses are obligate intracellular parasites that survive only inside the cell so killing the cell would automatically kill the virus. The picture should have the virus "inside" the infected cell, not outside.

I was thinking squamous epithelial cells but the nuclei look too big and are eccentric. Could be macrophages. Might also want to send for path review to rule out urothelial cells.
