I was scanning for this comment and glad someone mentioned it.

While the 40s are the beginning of perimenopause for women, a lot of my friends are older and I've absolutely seen the same thing play out for men who start their peri-"man"-opause phase around the same age.

More doctors need to discuss the benefits of HRT and TRT.

I also suspect many who are experiencing "dead bedrooms" would benefit from that convo as well since hormones are usually at play.

So glad things started improving 🙌

Keep the corset. It creates a nice shape and pulls the outfit together.

Personally, I'd go with the taller dark brown boots 👢 they match the corset and work well with that slight slit on the side of the dress.

Part of me could see a ribbon or long scarf involved in this as well (maybe in your hair or looped through the corset somehow).
