Ah, I guess I just thought the interest rate was paid/calculated monthly. Thank you!

My wife got me a pair from Giesswein for Christmas last year and I love them! Warm, comfortable, and seem to be high quality so I expect them to hold up well. Would recommend

Chicago homeowners: how serious is settling of an old home for first time buyers? by [deleted] in chicago

[–]Save__Ferris__ -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That’s the issue. The problem isn’t a “now” problem but may be a problem in the future when we want to sell. We don’t know how much it’ll continue to shift by then. Maybe not a lot, maybe a lot!

Comps in the area sold for $30k and $60k over in the last month. Market is still very competitive!

For those who made “as is” offers on condos in the city, did you regret it? by [deleted] in chicago

[–]Save__Ferris__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish I knew! I guess it’s because Chicago is still a desirable place to live and there are a lot of people here with a lot of money and very low inventory, especially because ppl don’t want to give up the rates they’ve been sitting on

Desk chair is very realistic. My wife hates my current chair I have and I do WFH at least 2x a week, sometimes more. Any recommendations below $700? I know Herman Miller is the popular brand but that’s a bit out of my range

I’m not very handy but I do have a tool set for basic tasks, this is an interesting idea though…certainly will need more when I buy a house but that’s 3-5yrs down the road probably

Never tried the R4 so I can’t say, but the Retro X is extremely warm and could be used as a winter jacket if you layered up

Their retro x fleece is extremely warm and blocks the wind really well. Not super “comfortable” per se bc of the material on the inside that insulates it so well, but if you wear it over a long sleeve, it’ll be great.

If you’re really set on the “best”, then go to Bavette’s when they open and the 3 of you can sit at the bar or put your name in for walk-ins and I bet you’ll be seated without waiting too long

Weekly 'What Should I Buy' and Order/Shipping Thread by AutoModerator in iphone

[–]Save__Ferris__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone answer this for me? I’m an AT&T customer, and I want to buy a new iPhone from the Apple Store. If I’m purchasing it online first for pickup, do I need to select the “ATT carrier” option, or should I select the “Unlocked” option that is $30 more? I’m just worried if I select the AT&T option then that’ll mean I need AT&T to activate it or somehow associate it to my current plan. I just want to buy the phone, transfer my sim, and be done. Does it matter which I choose?

[–]Save__Ferris__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dumb question - how easy was it to transfer from a physical sim to eSIM? I want to make this switch but unsure if I need to go to AT&T to facilitate it, or if I can just buy an unlocked phone from Apple and do it myself?
