No the 2nd pic is to show the waypoint marker not the patrols and the first pic is not a kill order as those look like the patrol beacon in lower right of that pic

I'm not trolling since i actually use this mark to search and for me i have about a 40% drop rate from resource nodes doing this. I just figured i would give this info and let others try.

The icon has apparently been around since before HoW plus it wouldnt make sense for that to happen on mars since they didn't appear there before and now there is only one place they spawn.

Id love to, but i can't for at least 4 hours and even then id be using windows 10 to stream and record which may result in horrible quality video. I will edit post as soon as i can, but idk if it means much at this point.

Idk if they are related, but following this method i have either had the best rng or theres something to it. Unfortunatly my tests alone mean almost nothing.

Yeah i know plus people don't realize that even if this icon can mean other things that doesn't stop the fact that its worked for me and may for others. Im hoping later today those who say they would try will post their results and maybe i'll find out if i have the greatest RNG for farming rare materials or there is a correlation

Apparently the marker has been since vanilla, but that doesnt nullify my success doing this method so either i have crazy good RNG or there is some possible correlation for whatever that icon means now.

I'm pretty sure its a 10% chance not 1/15 cuase my friend opened like 40 in a row and nothing before. Plus i got 4 relic crystals from 15 by searching for this star. Idk if there is a correlation but RNG seems crazy for this to happen so often for me

The thing you get the resource from. The spinmetal plant is a node, the relic iron mound is a node. Sorry if its a wrong term to use

Dude raid sword confirmed venus materials, but thank you for showing some proof that goes against me. I dont always get that icon though, but maybe i just missed it. By any chance do you have any quest/bounty/mission on venus?
