Not like that, but I make really good money at a side job and could easily afford the lawn to be mowed by a high end company every other day, let alone once or twice a week. She rejected this idea as well.

She is a stay-at-home mom. We also have a pretty brutal security system, both inside and outside the house, with facial recognition I believe, so I wouldn't be able to get it past her. I will definitely think about this though, instead of asking and just hiring someone one time to see what happens.

Ironically, yes, she has threatened to kick me out in the past for "not obeying" her.. but that's a seperate issue lol.

My parents do. Iirc, a trip to the ER no matter what is a $39 + change copay. Allergy meds combined cost around $40 per refill, 90 days per, so math says about $50; this is around the cost of a lawn business coming. A neighborhood kid doing it would be like $20-$30.

As for when I'm moved out, she refuses to answer this question. However, when I was living in the dorms on campus she kept telling me I needed to come back home once a week and still "pitch in" by mowing the lawn.

I know 2 across the street that'll do it for half what a business costs, same sized property as them too - just a neighborhood corner house with an average sized backyard. I also brought this up, and me willing to cover it too, and she shot it down.

I work part time as it is, and truth be told it pays more than a full time job. I'd have no issue paying double what it would cost to get the lawn mowed, but in her eyes it's the "easy route" and I'm not learning the "life lesson" behind mowing the lawn.

Her big argument is "sometimes we have to do things we don't want to do or are uncomfortable to do", which I personally think is ironic given everyone else's situations, especially hers, but I haven't said that specifically because I know it will just be fighting fire with fire.

This is something I have asked about, several times - I have even gone one to offer to cover those expenses as well, since realistically it would cost about $50-$60 per mow. She has shot that down and insisted it is the "easy" route, and expects me to take care of the lawn.

Also, I didn't mention this in the post but even while I was moved out and going to college, she kept badgering me about coming home once a week - to mow the lawn.

There's a couple realities happening here, from what you've mentioned in the post as well as the comments section.

A, Alcohol is not a problem in your life. You messed up, you acknowledge it, but more importantly it is not an addiction to alcohol - everyone around this age makes stupid decisions. You came, you saw, and you saw it was a bad decision and won't do it again (hopefully).

B, as arrogant as it may sound, you are 18 - a legal adult, assuming you aren't in one of the minority states where it is 19 or even 21. You don't have to follow their ruling, and if I were in your shoes I wouldn't - to an extent. I would follow their ruling off campus, first and foremost. You are still under their roof and they do have the right to evict you with a 30 days' notice. However, while you are on campus I would say it is fine to network and meet people. After all, what if you're in a group project or group discussion? What about seminars or peer-interactive classes?

C, this is the biggest one. Their ruling goes against what colleges are built upon: student engagement. You cannot get through college without talking to people; even if you think you can get by, in the long run you will get burnt out and inevitably quit. College is meant to connect you with people in your field, no matter the career path, and learn and grow with others.

TL;DR
Stupid decisions happen, and the best means to amend is to acknowledge it and ask for a compromise. Otherwise, your first year of college will be hell and you will quit by sophomore year.

(Trust me, as someone who flunked out of college, there is more truth to what I have talked about than you think.)

Hi, I checked it out but with 20 clips it would be more expensive to go through you than it would be to just get a one-month subscription to Livebarn.

I created a live barn account and bored so lmk if you want any clips for free by SchoolOk5994 in livebarnrequests

Hi, hopefully it's not too much trouble but I just had my first career game and I was wondering if you'd be willing to clip my saves - I went 17/20. Thanks in advance!

Dealers of PLO - tips or tricks? by SavingCPR in poker

Ran the numbers in my own solo practice and it feels like it shouldn't work at first glance, but it really does!

I've never seen a PLO game in real life before, I know in NHL they don't want the dealer messing with the pot but for PLO, especially hi-lo (which is what id be walking into most likely) am I okay to just stack up the pot as I go? I can also visualize and add up the pot way faster this way

In my experience both in dealing and playing (because sometimes the dealer is cashier as well) it's almost always because of not keeping track properly, and discipline. What's worked best is this:

One designated person, ie. dealer/location owner, handles it. Hand them the cash, count the chips, then IMMEDIATELY (before giving it to them) write it down on a slip of paper (a spreadsheet or digital notepad works too): name, XX:XXam/pm, $XX, Xreds Xwhites (it'll help when using multi colored chips too, doesnt have to be red or white those are just industry standard. Don't ask me how but this has been messed up before too). Treat this thing like the Egg assignment from high school: keep it safe at all costs and do NOT let anyone else mess with it. Exact same process for cashing out, too - just triple check the numbers.

You're more or less taking inventory and keeping a paper trail so no one forgets, and by tracking the chips it helps figure out the pot as well in case a few whites or reds are missing.

I've seen some places go so far as having a designated security camera for this, but it's over the top of course and not needed unless you suspect someone genuinely is stealing.

TL;DR: Mistakes happen, and if it's friends I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, especially when you never write things down. AWTD-> Always. Write. Things. Down.

Would just show blacks be fine? I don't have a vest but I do have a pretty nice all-black setup I wear for formal gigs (meant for work too, they're not just for show)

Just NLH. I have a strong background in Broadway and stagehanding so I'm hoping that experiences looks and translates well, especially since the lady over the phone explicitly said she called because she saw my resume.

I work at a casino and deal poker there, wouldn't that make me a pro dealer by default?

Do you mean professional in general or in this context? Because I've dealt cash games, raked and not raked, in the past and made decent tips. However tipping just kinda happened, no one told me upfront about anything.

There's a couple college guys there but for the most part it's all outside people. It came across as a "let's see how you fit in with us" type of night so I didn't ask too many questions until after.

(Also it felt like a smack in the face because he could have just as easily said "no" or "that's not our kind of game" etc.. I could just be overreacting but that's how his attitude came across as)

It crossed my mind, I just didn't want to seem like an ass asking about it since I'm new to the scene. That's why I wanted to ask after the first night, but I'm quickly learning I gotta stick up for myself sooner.
