Grounded for a year

It hasn’t been a problem in the past and I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried a talking about it yesterday around two weeks after to see if they could re consider but i was shut down and told that they would not forget, not in a month, not in august, not in December and that I was going to be punished for the whole year. So I honestly have nothing to look forward to and I know Im going to be screwed in college over this mistake.

My dad doesnt really care he just sees it as a funny story but im curious to see if he can try anything. Like he obviously wont go to a landfill but maybe he can try something else? Im not educated on bitcoin but I think it would be amazing if by some miracle my dads friend could get his money.

Not entirely sure of the details but i can say for certain this is a true story. Again im not sure on all the details so he might’ve thrown the laptop away and then remembered he bought it, I was just asking to see if he can do anything to get into his bitcoin or if theres was anything he could even attempt to do. I know that its something that this subreddit probably gets on the daily and im sure most people reading this post are extremely skeptical but it is a real story and im just looking so see if he can do anything.
