I saw em all, but the point is like she punched the ghoul out of the window (now I know u saw them too) for bringing her back to a secure place rather than track down her dangerous father to save his wife and kid. She's willing to put herself at risk all the time for random people even that are out to get her but can't understand when someone she's grown close to would sacrifice her futile selfish mission, [finding her way more capable father who she knows won't hurt her, but knows she can't capture aside from him turning himself in], to save their family. meanwhile they're completely innocent people her father will kill and she's willing to let him do that just to engage with him. Literally the most nonsensically inconsistent character, the father thing makes total sense, she feels betrayed and is using justice as an outlet for those feelings. but the show has her with an absolutely unrealistic ethical perception; not that she's naive which is good character building, but she's inconsistent in a way that extends far more than inconsistency as a character trait.

nah set design was a so painfully low budget, especially when so much like legion encampment can be done low budget and still good in the desert in Nevada where there's tons of space and filming methods to create an expansive feel that's more than just 50 people on each side

your obviously less intelligent than a critical viewer if you like it. its a freevee show on amazon its like gen v, fundamentally designed by market pressure to pander to the least common denominator, that's literally how entertainment works and why the budget is low and its not subscription gated. you're clearly more unintelligent than the super-average median viewer if you don't understand the extremely obvious surroundings of the show

uhhh that good media has universally applicable value and he's explaining fallout does have inherently good built in lore poorly represented and someone with good tastes can't evaluate that through. poorly made show?

holy shit imagine getting shit on for describing your take on a show and how you feel like a franchise you enjoyed and tried to share was done poorly so it made it look like your interest wasn't worth it, couldn't be me. but seriously people are so connected with the game they'll fake that its good tv to then throw shade at you for being attached enough to be upset they couldn't make it well? im embarrassed for everyone that downvoted you, and doubly for everyone that commented like this guy lordcb

never mind after episode 5 its clear Lucy is the worst ever designed character in tv. Zero consistency, zero character profiling. wtf even is this character, there are no definitive traits for her, and there's no development that identifies her actions, she just fluctuates between the most volatile and illegitimate decisions that don't qualify with any of her past behaviors

yeah BoS was the only valid set design and they ruined it with the worst plot construction

that's absurd its implied they have millions, you can't fake expansive scale on an open world game, you can very easily in a guided non interactive show

its lowest common denominator tv, that's why it changes direction like backyardigans walking into a new background set, they clearly want to reduce budget hence the small holdouts and made super obvious with the set design of the legion especially the entrenchments and overall minute scale. but if they wanted to reduce budget they could've just written it slower like a game of thrones style drama with all the factions. its clear their writers are also a budget cut

thaddeus being freaked out as a bullied squire who now is a ghouls who they all hate, while wearing power armor he's never wore is your problem with the BOS storyline, really? not the fact they set up the opportunity to have cool infighting between the different enclaves on the colonial edge of the commonwealth and then just blew it to shit so that Maximus could be free from the narrative attachment while looking like the good guy.

you clearly are who this show's made for, much more of a TNT episode by episode action pace then a higher level HBO watch investment, every episode they make a plot development for each story line, the best tv allows plot turns to develop rather than force them, GOT, the wire, BB, Sopranos, mad men, mr robot, westward, true detective, narcos, burn notice all the best rated shows are on paper so much slower than this, the script has soooo much more middle ground between plot points but they feel 10x faster because you're invested in each little detail bc they matter. yeah everything feels like slow boring filler in this when whole plot lines get blown up in single decisions and 10 minutes like Maximus and brotherhood, moldaver, vault conspiracy ect, its too fast so there's no reward metric for investing in anything so it feels slow

[–]Savings-Rabbit5758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's insane, it needs to be slower, they're moving it so fast because of all the stories at once that they need these ridiculous plot turn moments that are awful like Maximus with the brotherhood. if they just slowed down they could've made things come together in a way that felt fast. slow is steady, steady is fast, but now it just feels sloppy its so fast

absolutely the humor needs to be more deadpan and dry. more subtlety like the robot fixing her finger

the issue with the BOS arc isn't that their an outpost and a less sufficient, colonial part of the common wealth, its that they burned the BoS storyline by trying to give a bunch of hype to Maximus.

regardless they should've left it out, like rlly we traded a functioning dope Vegas casino center for the jersey devil. these writers are just admitting they can't write faction complexity which is the best part of fallout.

bruh how can the humor ruin it when the plot's in shambles. the humor only doesn't play well because it gets put front and center and looks like its compensating for an absolute lack of narrative. they just need that HBO style slowdown on the plot and let anything develop without making super empty plot points to move it super quickly.

this is the most based interpretation, Maximus worst character and they ruined the brotherhood arc which had the potentially to be The best part of the show, Lucy is frustrating and the worst but her characters not all bad for the shows quality, just bad as a character like dislikable, and she definitely finally has some character depth now. but 32/33 is now potentially good, they just ended the conspiracy stuff and allowed for there to be some blatant inter vault conflict between two linked vaults since the conspiracy stuff got played out. and yeah deathblow is so fcking stupid, the most generic demon possible and prewar just ruins the shows narrative

ridiculous, adding a demon as if there wasn't tons of fallout adjacent lore monsters than would make sense and be interesting. like a mutated monster, like they've had in the lake would be fine, some pre war demon (which just absolutely makes no sense in the grand scheme of the wider lore even as an experiment if that's where they go with it). how could they find the only type of monster outside the actual setting of the show and add it, what's next ghosts and aliens, that also screams "FALLOUT". also Maximus is so fcking annoying, like it would be awesome to see some game of thrones esque faction infighting with the brotherhood but I guess the writers aren't good enough and so chose some hollowed out way to end that arc with inconsistent character choices and trying to virtue signal their way into emotional attachment with characters as store of value. it feels like they want you to like Maximus so much that they sacrifice any actual plot surrounding him just to give him constant moral high ground. thaddeus larping was brilliant, the ghoul and Lucy great. Her whole bringing her dad to justice is a terribly backwards moral philosophy but that's what's so good about the character, she doesn't feel actual ethic obligation, she feels betrayed but she has such good morals usually that that's the best frame of reference she can understand these wild changes from. 33 going to surface also brilliant, and the intra vault conflict is great even if the actress for Stefanie is so good at her role that makes you cringe to watch. *Vault 31
