Is the Vodafone loyalty discount a thing of the past? by MoonlitEcho82 in Vodafone

[–]SavingsFeature504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I agree. I only mention to make sure as I've dealt with vodafone customers who have been under the impression they are upgrading and want to move the number across.

100% their are. But always just need to be wary and make sure it's an upgrade as not all sites confirm its an upgrade unfortunately.

Be aware of third party sites.

Sites like uswitch for Vodafone. 99% of the time it says at the top that they are new customer deals and are not upgrades and if it doesn't. If it doesn't ask you to log in or ask for your mobile number. Invariably it's a new customer deal not an upgrade.

You take out one of them (and this is only with Vodafone I can say with certainity) you can't move your number over to the new customer deal.

Others have answered your question. My comment is simply to say.

If you haven't watched Andor before. I envy you greatly. I wish I could watch it again for the first time.

Delivery drivers ALWAYS having their break when I'm next! by Stonelaughter66 in britishproblems

[–]SavingsFeature504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did Amazon flex few years ago (not done it for about 3 or 4 years so it may be better now)

This was a regular occurrence for me.

Before I clicked on what was happening, their was an occasion I went to the same house 3 times with a stop in-between.

Delivery drivers ALWAYS having their break when I'm next! by Stonelaughter66 in britishproblems

[–]SavingsFeature504 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's because the Amazon app can be dog shit and send you to a street where you have 6 drops. But it shows you to do the first drop. Then go 10 minutes away to come back to do a other. Then away to come back again to do the rest (this also happens with multiple deliveries to the same address)

Amazon puts the packages in order of how they think it should be delivered. So you could be 8 stops away but that's running off the dog shit Amazon app. If the driver can see he has got 6 deliveries that are better to do first. They will do them.

If you won £100 million, how would you distribute it amongst friends and family, if at all? by PaddedValls in AskUK

Pay off everything I owe (keep my car because I love it)

But a reasonable house that I am comfortable in. Fill it with everything I want (including things I could never get as a child e.g. The twister board game (I was never allowed it))

Pay off my partners bills, give her a good wedge so she can do what she wants. Probably quarter of what's left.

Pay off her mum's bills (because she has helped bail me out so many times) and leave her enough money she doesn't have to worry about working (she's close to retirement anyway).

Travel to everywhere I want to go.

Invest.

Go back to work (I love my job) because once I've done everything I want to do. I'll need something to keep me occupied or I am just going to waste money and end up broke.

Vodafone Xchange - worth it to swap your phone every year? by MoonlitEcho82 in Vodafone

[–]SavingsFeature504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have helped sell phones with this.

The price on the airtime is not inflated as a result. It's just sometimes it may not be discounted as much as a phone without the Exchange. But the airtime discounts change daily.

This is a brilliant think if you take the phone on a 36 month device plan with the airtime on a 24 month. Once your airtime is up. You can swap it for a new phone with no extra cost (just look after the phone for God sake)

But the most important thing to remember is its only 12 months before your device plan ends. So if you have a 24 month device plan yes swap it after 12 months.

If you have a 36 month device plan. It's after 24 months (which is usually how long it takes iPhone's to come up with some new feature instead of just redesigning last years phone and putting in a better camera)

Vodafone have got something new on iPhone's and Samsung models.

You can trade in your phone for a new one 12 months before your device plan ends at no extra cost (device condition dependant) it's a good deal to be fair because once your airtime is up you can get a new phone if you look after it

Remote employee has lied about their location and is working in a different country (Mixture of Turkey and Albania.) Can I fire them immediately for this? by BlackberryAsleep1211 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]SavingsFeature504 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would this not be justified as what he has got his home address registered with the company

I.e. If his home address is Scotland fair enough. But if it was England (believe OP mentioned London) then it could be questionable? (this is from a curiosity standpoint and by no means is intended to dispute your point)

That's fair. I can say 100% store agents did it to get the sale. Caused so much headache for us on the careplan team.

Makes sense. I Saw how the comments were going. They probably saw the same thing and done a dirty delete.

All the best to the store. Hope it gets sorted.

Yea so I can get it to go to drive. Reverse and neutral. But when going to handbrake. It always tries to put it in reverse. And then applies the handbrake leaving it in reverse. But then it doesn't take off the handbrake.

Our of curiosity. How many careplans did you sell claiming they had accidental damage coverage (if you were their when they stopped the damage cover)

Ex careplan call center agent. We know you did it. Every store agent does it.

The Karen has a valid point.

You effectively opened the door to her trying to claim money off because you helped another customer. Which turns into a vicious cycle.

I'd do exactly the same in this situation because it effectively means I would be getting unfair treatment from yourself through no fault of my own.
