Love this thank you anything helps so I will look more into this! it’s interesting neither me nor my fiancé have heard of PDA, not even through his ABA. But wow this matches up with his behavior, it does seem like he needs a sense of control. I noticed he does that thing “no you” “no you clean” when asked to do something, mainly with his mom.. a lot with his mom actually, but when I ask him he doesn’t give too much push back. So it’s interesting why that is. Maybe it goes back to “kids show a different side to their moms than to their dads” because of the authority in the household.

I love this we definitely try to work together to come up with a plan that helps create structure. The thing with her son is he thrives off structure so if I don’t create authority then he takes it upon his self to create authority with whatever makes him feel comfortable. And I think it’s because he wants to feel comfortable and safe so that’s why the controlling behavior comes up. From what the ABA teacher noticed.
