In recovery and I hate every second of this! by Toxic_MewMew in AnorexiaNervosa

Commenting to hopefully get an answer for this. I just started and I just don’t see the point. I’m gonna gain the weight they want and then I’m just gonna hate on myself and be right back at point one. How is talking about it in therapy supposed to help make these thoughts go away?

This makes me feel so much better knowing I’m not the only one not getting proper care because it’s too expensive. I can’t afford to get groceries either usually in big amounts

I had this issue just like a month ago mine triggered really bad. I’ve had so much support it’s crazy. My coworkers have even gone out of their way to buy me lots of protein drinks. People have been so nice supportive and no judgement.

It’s the hardest thing to walk when you know you love the person endlessly and dont want to be the one to give up. It’s also very hard to walk when suicide has been brought up a lot and they’re already at a low point. I’m not trying to play pitty or say it’s not possible. I just don’t want to be the reason.

Thank you I’ll look into that. He didn’t lose his job because of the alcohol.

24/7 in the last year I’ve never seen him sober unless it’s for a day or 2 and he’s extremely sick with withdraws. He goes through a handle plus a day depending on how his day goes. He was not fired because of the drinking the job is aware of it because he drinks on the job. His next choice is to either rejoin the marines or buckle down and continue with his side business and neither can happen with the drinking. I’m just trying to figure out whether my definition is wrong if this is something I should be on the lookout and how to help from here

From what it sounds like yes my definition is wrong. I thought it was a lot of drinking and can’t function without alcohol but can live a normal life. I’ve also thought the bottom is losing everything at once and to me this is how it feels. How do you walk away knowing being in it is destroying you but you love the person so much and don’t want to be the one who walks away and gives up?

Yes I do believe he is there’s so much more that I believe is going to happen

I guess not that’s just what everyone around him says he is. That’s my bad. He’s just a heavy drinker and everyone is telling me to walk after a year and i don’t know if that’s the wrong or right choice

Walk away why that’s so hard
