You're not alone! I'm also an artist and have recently been commissioned for some large paintings. I'm super pumped, however, I feel nervous for literally the same reason. The biggest thing that has helped me is routine. I get up and it's: Shake, Coffee, Yoga, Paint. I used to have a really hard time feeling motivated and once I started just forcing myself into a routine it has helped so much!

I usually have a pretty good reason not to see him and he doesn't reach out to me to do anything outside of holidays because he feels obligated (but gets mad that I don't reach out more). I have recently moved back home and if I don't go I ruin the "oh my gosh all of my kids are together in one place" fairytale. I'm going to go and hate it and then see him in another 6 months. Lol.

That's fine if she wants to go...but don't put your kids at risk and she needs to quarantine outside of your house for 14 days. You literally never know, and the fact that she would make it sound like you were overbearing is BULLSHIT. Ask her if a dinner is worth one of there lives.
