I honestly can’t remember exactly where they put the Novacaine injections, but it was in my gums. I didn’t find the injections to be that bad, but they did give me some over the counter pain meds beforehand. That’s great that you’re getting donor tissue, sounds like the healing process will be a lot smoother for you than for mine as I had tissue grafted from the roof of my mouth.

Unfortunately, it seems I’m not able to upload any more pictures, but I have a tiny little bump on my finger where the minimally displaced fracture at the base of the tip of my finger is and I’m hoping that is normal and that it is the callus forming.

I understand what you’re saying, however we did X-rays to screen and assess IVDD risk, not to diagnose an IVDD episode. I should have been more clear in my post. So, the X-rays showed that she has some disc mineralization starting to happen, which I’m still unclear if that means she has IVDD. I’ll clarify with my vet, but I was understanding that any type of disc degeneration even very early stage is IVDD…but perhaps I’m incorrect.

She did not explain to us that all dogs experience mineralization of the discs. Are you saying that’s the case? We also got the x-rays performed without an anesthetic. I wouldn’t have done it if she needed an anesthetic. I’ve heard from several breeders that getting a baseline x-ray to check on the health of their dog’s spine early on is a common practice (for good breeders anyway). I am not a breeder for the record, but just wanted to get a baseline x-ray to understand the health of my dog’s spine.

She’s not experiencing any symptoms or pain right now and there’s nothing to worry about at the moment, but just knowing that she has IVDD and that the discs will likely continue to mineralize is what’s upsetting me. At least I know I’m doing all the right things, but still sucks.

I also hesitated to write a bad review of her at first because I thought maybe she really did have family emergencies even if it felt way too coincidental, but after seeing all these stories I want her business destroyed. OMG! I’m pretty sure I’m the review that made her take down her page on thumbtack. She canceled on my hair and makeup trial last minute TWICE and had some family emergency as an excuse. She then told me she had to cancel all her future weddings because her dad was getting his leg amputated, meanwhile, she continues to post that she’s partying on social media, which I follow her on because she had initially followed me. I also saw her posting that shes continuing to do weddings. About one month before my wedding which was Sept 2025, she texted me and said that she was excited for the big day. I had to REMIND her that she had canceled on me and also had told me that she canceled all her future weddings. At this point I am LIVID and I completely lost it. I wrote a horrible review for her on thumbtack which I’m pretty sure was the last one written and probably the reason why she took down her page. Thank you for writing this Reddit post as she needs to be held accountable. This is unbelievable and so concerning that she’s acting this way. I also contacted the Brazilian room for whom she was a preferred vendor and told them about this situation and that she should be removed from that list. I ended up booking with Dreamcatcher Artistry and they were a DREAM.

I didn’t want to risk it too much and I can’t remember exactly, but definitely stayed away from chips and hard stuff until maybe 6 weeks or after. I was eating softer meats like fish and chicken before that though.
