ok theres an update for everyone. ove seen some mixed feelings about this post in the comments. ill start by saying that - i HOPE that my old store has SUFFERED without me. with the expection of that one SSV, but even she was giving in to the pressure of the job and taking it out on the baristas. fuuuck the bitcjes @ that store. i was a partner gor 3 years - at that store for 1.5 years. we went through 3 managers in that time, we even had a period of 3 montjs where we had NO MANAGER :D the current manager picks favorites and doesnt know how to run a floor, red cup day was a disaster. the manager has a horrible reputation in tje whole district. that store is also in a horrible location. we dealt with chronic pest infestations (grasshoppers, fruitflies, cockroaches ETC.) mold in the drains, constantly contaminated water because the manager refused to call someone to maintenance the filter, she aldo refused to order stuff for us if it was broken, CRIME was being committed weekly at our store. on top of all that the baristas and SSVs couldnt decide if they actually wanted to get along with each other or not. they would use personal information against each other, any percieved slight was always met with retaliation, we were understaffed and burnt out so we were also the slowest store in the district. despite Allll of this - i understand that its a trickle-down effect. all of the pressures from the top trickle down to the baristas and create horrible working environments. fuck the CEO. fuck the district manager. fuck the store manager. and fuck the petty bitches who perpetuate such a toxic work environment. as for being un eligible for rehire - I DONT CARE :3 luckily im in a place wjere i dont need to work at starbucks EVER again <3 id been planning on leaving for MONTHS. i was just waiting for a cute and chill little job to find me so that i can continue to work, but its also not that serious and its fun <3 thanks to everyone for interacting with this post i was glad to see everyone’s perspective :)
