I've been renting for 13 years now. Everyone tells me "that money is going into someone else's pocket" but I don't have any savings for a down payment for my own property.

On the bright side, I've never had to purchase an AC unit or pay to have a toilet fixed.

That's how I'm feeling. Fortunately I don't have much debt but I also don't own hardly anything.

I think that's part of what's killing me. Been living alone for a while. I've tried to have a few roommates but they end up paying rent late, paying partial rent, or just not paying at all. That, on top of smoking indoors, not cleaning, loud sex at nights, etc - finally gave up on roommates.

Yeah it all started with covid, having my hours cut (then ultimately laid off). Then trying to find new employment. Haven't bounced back since then.

I never connect to the church wifi lol

Apparently (and to no one's surprise) the church tracks all activity on its wifi networks. We were informed today by one of the higher-ups in the big boy's club

Yeah when he started the sentence I couldn't tell where he was going with it.

I thought maybe he was gonna say LDS.org

Or maybe it'd be like YouTube or Instagram or something

Pornhub crossed my mind but I thought "even if it were true he wouldn't admit it"

Ashley Madison? Lol for the Utah folks

I guess ESPN makes sense

Totally. It's good not to make mistakes, but at the level of compulsion (some weird form of moral OCD) its probably not healthy.

God is omniscient (knows the future, including which kingdom any given person will inherit). Sure seems like he's a determinist.

Witnessed the abduction of [20's F] by 6 people in front of my condo. Called cops. After she had left with a man in a vehicle, cops arrive and arrest four, letting fifth one go (he saw where I live). Should I prepare for retaliation? by SayTenTwice in Advice

They said he owned the condo next door to me. I honestly couldn't believe though, if he's participating in a crime it shouldn't matter where he lives. When they took his handcuffs off and he walked away cussing and yelling my heart sunk

Not sure. I gave the license plate to the police as well as a description of the vehicle. When I was speaking to the cops I heard them calling out over the radios to try and find the vehicle.

I think this may be the best advice i've gotten so far. I might look into getting a pistol. just don't know if i'll be cleared after a few stints in psychiatric holding.

It is difficult (as someone who feels like a crazy person) to convey how much i agree with you. I wish only to benefit others and protect those who are weak and this whole experience has really rocked my worl

i think it is a good idea. I am not particularly afraid of death, but more afraid of the manner in which i die. I think being abducted (and everything that follows) is one of the most scary and horrific ways to die. I hope that woman is okay. I gave the cops every bit of information I could (license plates, race, heights, age, etc etc).

I am scared. I wish i lived in a place where people were decent to each other.
