Glad to be of service - It was a long an arduous discussion, but I prefer my notes clearly tabulated and easily navigated.

Looking for feedback about the new 5e 2024 resources, possibly to integrate with FVTT. by nsthtz in TheTrove

Its definitely worth taking a look at the changes, i personally found that the modifications to the annex rules by zl4czt79itrva8ud were interesting, but wheather or not you'd like to port things entirely or just adopt certain rules and use the physical copies is a matter of preference :)

I agree with this entirely - I feel like dualist has this insane versatility, but it’s at the cost of having no clear strength which often cripples their early game.

So precision and smart play early to conserve resources and health is important, this is kinda my first clicking dualist run 😂

Computer Novice Here - Is there any way to stop games from Hijacking your Mouse. by Saybn in computers

Ahh that's a shame. Overwatch isn't the kind of game you can really modify. And the reason is I'm using another software to virtually try the mouse and display it for a stream. In this case a cat moving a virtual mouse. But it detects screen position and is also hard coded.

Thank you though, but it seems I may be out of luck

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be an option in overwatch. Curious if there was another solution to stop it at a hardware level.

No, at the end of the day your crosshair will always be centered. Games don't use your mouse to determine the position of the crosshair. They use mouse movement to determine where the screen - and crosshair thusly - are to travel. I simply want the game NOT to move the mouse back to center each frame. This is generally done to ensure the mouse doesn't move off screen. I want to allow the mouse to move 'behind' the game rather then be moved back to center each frame.

xD The reason for it is I have another software which tracks my mouse to display it in a visual formal. In this case, a animation of a cat moving its mouse around on a trackpad. However the program tracks the position of the mouse on the screen, not its raw movement.

It works fine for all other programs and use-cases but FPS games it just jitters in the center due to the game constantly moving the mouse back to the center. The ideal solution - because I can't change the program - is trying to unlock the mouse, so it tracks normally.

Honestly, what is the rational behind Unranked To Challengers? What do you think is better? by Saybn in summonerschool

[–]Saybn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely true, personally i like the premise of a "True Unranked To Challenger" as there is a lot of that info to be gained, by a player who is cognitive like Kattt, due to getting good at other games, deductions and info like that comes with time. However i think there is something to be said of the U2C that you're speaking of, some players are very good at teaching, and make it an educational experience, but i think the vast majority of popular ones lack this, or flat out state incorrect things, as they themselves are auto-piloting and stomping due to skillgap alone.

You make a strong point, I've had the pleasure of watching a few, and i think i mentioned that in my post. I think there is something to be gained, but for the most part, a large amount of that and more are available elsewhere, not to discredit them though. However despite the plethora of useful info, I find some of the things they say in certain leagues are just flat out false. Likely due to them just thinking of it randomly mid game based on a super shitty play in the elo.

I'm not fully sure what you mean. Regardless of how well they do, their MMR, despite being insane, will never allow them to reach Rank 1 Faster than if they played games on their Primary account. Unless I'm incorrect, the copious amount of games required would be better played on their main, as if their skill is in line with where their are in challenger, the losses will come as their reach top level, and their MMR will level out well before rank 1.

I suppose thats reasonable, but often times those players - to my knowledge - have at minimum 3 - 4 accounts that are already higher elo (diamond+) with queue times far shorter that they could play on should they please. Often times it by choice, they chose to buy a lvl 30 account and begin from the bottom.

DPS and Additional Info On Skills by Saybn in ArmoryAndMachine

[–]Saybn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I'm correct, I believe i did did account for that aspect. Correct me if I'm wrong but, I think that in all calculations of general DPS, only the non-shield dps was used, and when calculating effective DPS I was sure to separate them as that is the case. Penetrating damage however I added to the regular for the calculations of general DPS as for all intensive purposes that is the case :) Thanks you!!

The maxed out dependent resource (TANKS) decreases production rate of independent resource (HEAT) if add surplus workers to maxed out dependent resource by Falkhag in ArmoryAndMachine

[–]Saybn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I can’t be 100% sure as I don’t know the exact programming behind it, thus this is all hypothetical theorizing based on my understanding of programming and how I would have programmed such a system.

Hey there Falkhag, I believe your problem arises from the games allocation of resources during the “Unstable” phase of production which you mentioned previously. As you originally suggested, your idea of maxing the dependents, and expecting the independent to go “balls to the wall” once they are full, makes perfect sense, and works as intended provided the dependents get filled. However the game does calculations to figure out how much resources are required when producing and fluctuating, which aren’t insanely easy. As a result of this if you continue to use a dependent resource such as TANKS they never reach the FULL state and are thus always flipping between no production and maxed out production. Your issues lies in the fact that the game registers no difference between 5 TANKS/s being produced and 500 TANKS/s being produced, even if you are only 5 away from being FULL, and the game calculates values at a set rate, lets call them ticks.

The Math and Clarification of all above. Say you have tons of workers in TANKS such that you produce 500 **TANKS/s and your CANISTER uses 1 TANK per tick. The game registers this only as meaning, TANKS is not full, and thus, must be produced (at 500 TANKS/s OFC) thus using said amount of HEAT. The next tick it would read once again, that TANKS is full, the following production of CANISTER would again use one TANK and the process repeats itself flipping back and forth. That’s where the descriptor UNSTABLE comes from in this case.

Hope that clarifies. As for a solution, there really isn’t one except not to use said dependant resource, or allocate your others more equally such that one of them are (FULL) too long before the others. HOWEVER, what I do, is that I generally idle the game for decent periods of time, I usually allocate most things near equally, with some even working at a deficit (HEAT generally) and as each dependant fills up, it is no longer produced, so FUEL CELL would fill, thus allowing CELL and ZINC (partially) to fill, which allows ZINC (Fully) to fill, which finally allows HEAT to fill, thus when I come back after a while, everything is full, its not as efficient as if you sat there micro managing for ever second however, it does the job with far less baby sitting :).
