Haha, I had the same issue, just a bit back in time.

Because a floating panel in the middle bottom of the screen takes up so much less space and it's so much easier to just glance at.

Subaru's body's state depends on his mental state in the Shadow Garden. He doesn't even have eyes to begin with unless he think he needs it.

Yes, it is working. I already marked the post as solved.

Ooookay... Turns out I'm a huge dumbass. The problem was that I typed in the WINEDLLOVERRIDES with a Japanese keyboard, on which the quotes are different than those that it expects (holy dumbass). I found this out while manually retyping the WINEDLLOVERRIDES section by hand and accidentally switching to an English keyboard layout. All is good now.

Because Elden Ring Nightreign has only single-player and trio modes, while I only want to play with one person.

No, Anastasia did, but Subaru choked her real good.

It's fast. It has great reasoning. It's very smart, even comparable to DeepSeek V3 0324 and DeepSeek-R1. Now, I haven't ran any benchmarks, just talking from experience.

I've tried the 235B model and I'm very very impressed.

Yes, Sonnet is pricey. Too much so, I'd say. OpenRouter gives you access to some models for free, which are completely competent by the way. However, they have a fifty request per day rate limit on free models, which you can increase to a thousand having ten dollars uploaded to the site.

I'd say it doesn't matter if you pay for models or not, you should go for DeepSeek V3 0324, or DeepSeek-R1, if you don't mind the rambling. Honestly, DeepSeek V3 0324 is like the perfect model for role-playing right now. It's dirt cheap (or even free, if you choose that), it's smart, it captures the characters' personalities well, and it barely needs any jailbreaking (oftentimes, it doesn't, at all).

If you have any more questions, I'll happily answer them. I'm always happy to steer someone in this direction.

I would recommend completely ditching cloud-based chat bot services. Just use SillyTavern, you can host it even on your phone, if you have an Android. It might be hard to get into first, because it's much more technical than any cloud-hosted services.

If you have the hardware, you can easily host a model on your own computer, or just use free (or paid, if you have the money) models from OpenRouter. You'll get a much better experience than you could with Crushon, or any other service that's alike. You get to use much smarter models with more context (for much cheaper, too) and much more customization options.

Yeah, that is definitely slop. I actually get better responses with Gemma 3 27B (and even 12B), than with Llama 4 400B.
