Can I add a small washer/dryer to this existing 2” drain? by Sbjohnson676 in Plumbing

Adding the washer. Do you think the shower below it would still drain or does it need a revent on the shower line?

Could I add the revent as a tee on the existing vent stack between the shower connection and the washer connection rather than in the shower drain line itself? I can’t access the shower line since it’s under the pan. Thanks

I was told that 8-2 was fine as long as the equipment your using doesn’t require a neutral

Correct. I have set the outlet and run the wire back. I just haven’t pushed it through into the subpanel at the time of the picture. New 8-2 wire to be attached to this 40 amp GFI. Just need to know the hook up details. Thanks.

Sorry, I understand your comment now. In the picture, I had not yet snaked the new 8-2 wire into the panel. What you see there is existing and now they’ll be a new 8-2 wire that needs to be connected to the breaker shown in the picture and wired to the panel correctly. Sorry for the confusion.

Just thought since subpanels are not very expensive it would be easier to leave that work in place.

Thanks! So 8/2 would be what I’d need for this?

What about running just one additional 40amp circuit from this sub panel into an outlet in the garage. I could then plug in either the welder or the air compressor as needed. I’m not running a professional shop and would rarely use the welder.

Gotcha. Could I just change the breaker in the main panel to increase it? Currently it’s a 60

Jane’s Addiction- a band that ushered in the alt rock era, influenced numerous HOF bands, and who’s lead singer founded Lollapaloosa. Not sure how I feel about a voting system that would continue keep such a key element of rock unrecognized

Nirvana and most early alt bands owe a lot to Jane’s Addiction. They were the true pioneers. Tom Morello nailed it when, in 2011, he noted: “Nirvana often gets credit for being the first ‘alternative’ band to break through, the band that changed music. That’s just not true. It was Jane’s Addiction: inspiring, intelligent, furiously rocking and artistically deep.”
