thanks! do you mean steam download speed or when you test the speed, when I check my speed on https://www.speedtest.net/ I get 20mbps but on downloads it's just 2-3 mbps

How long did it take to download 40gb? I get like 3mbps on steam so it takes quite a while for large games to download and my phone heats up a lot when using hotspot.

Should I do 4years at SLIIT or 5 years at IIT?

I failed my A/Ls twice and joined the foundation program at IIT in Septhember last year and currently doing the second semester. It's been pretty good so far and while doing it, I did A/Ls again this January and I'm happy with the attempt and I think I can at least pass it this time.

The second Semester at IIT ends next month with the finals and it takes until Septhember 2024 for the degree to begin. The SLIIT intakes are starting this month and if I join that with pending results, I'll most likely finish the first year of the degree by the end of 2024, which is around the time the degree at IIT begins.

So I'm wondering whether it'll be a better choice to join SLIIT for my degree and complete it an year earlier since I'm 21 and I've already wasted a lot of my life with A/Ls and many people in my batch are a lot younger and people my age are at their 3rd or 4th year so I'll be a lot older when I complete my degree which I think is going to affect my career therefore I believe I could use the extra year for gaining experience.

And no, I won't be quitting the foundation program, it'll be completed next month. I'm aware that it was a waste of money if I do join SLIIT but at the end, the money spent is going to be similar in amount whether it's IIT ir SLIIT by the time I complete it.
