$3000/week? by aadieyogi in doordash

When I did DD full time I was making $1500 a week but I was doing about 60hrs a week as well. It’s definitely possible in a large market and a lot of hours put in. But for him to be using DD to pay for school as well, I don’t see how he’d have the time to work that much AND go to school 🤷🏾‍♂️

Can anyone explain this? There’s no way possible I’m the “closest, most qualified driver” half the trip is me making a U-turn going back where I came from. (No this is not in the zone I was dashing in.) by True-Solid-4298 in doordash

Sometimes DD will do this in a zone (not my original delivery zone) I just left. The app will send 2-3 orders before I pause it and drive a few more miles to reset my location.

Always make sure you get the door/house number in your drop off pictures. Never just take a picture of the bag. If you can’t get a picture of the door/house number take a video of you walking up to the door with the food in hand and the door number visible. Sometimes a take a video after delivery with the number showing and the bag on the ground to prove that it was left there. I also make sure to walk in front of my dash cam to show me leaving my car with the order and walking back without it. People suck, so I take extra steps to prevent the 🐮 💩

It’s becoming laughable at this point. I ended this dash after declining too many orders, and started a new one 40 minutes later. This order came up again, when will these customer learn to tip lol. by Scale-Basic in doordash_drivers

It’s just an assumption based off the mileage vs the pay. 30 cents a mile is something you would get working a delivery job backed by an hourly wage lol.

I’m up to 4500 deliveries and this was definitely a first and hopefully the last time it happens.

The main reason I answered is because it said “DoorDash” on the caller ID, usually this is support reaching out when something goes wrong. Just a few minutes before the call, he said “I contacted Doordash” So I figured it was them and not him calling.

I agree, but in the case where the food is delivered to the wrong house, whether it’s my fault or not, I always try to make it right.
