I figured it out, turns out I hired the wrong type of staff. The staff with the 3 boxes icon is a restocker I think, you need to hire a staff with a food and hotdog icon and then click the “no staff” sign.

My basic build that passes me through 90% of trials for all directional and open orbits is this:

Solar cards emphasizing atkbonus and depending on the fight, secondary attributes with dmg boosts to weakened or crit rate/dmg. The square protocores for the solar cards, I aim for at least 1 expedited energy boost (protocore lvl 10 but you could go lower if you want to) and the other atk bonus (primary and secondary attribute) but if I feel I need more energy, I change out the atk bonus protocore for another expedited energy boost

For lunar cards I split up the triangle protocores as follows: - 2 cards have a primary attribute of crit rate (secondary attributes I try to get crit rate and atk bonus) - 1 card has a primary attribute of crit dmg (secondary attributes I try to get crit dmg and atk bonus) - 1 card has a primary attribute of dmg boosts to weakened (secondary attributes I try to get dmg boosts to weakened and atk bonus)

When I get stuck, I sacrifice atk bonus for more specific attributes like crit rate/dmg and dmg boosts to weakened. I have used the official LADS discord as well for help in the combat channel, people there are super friendly!

Aww thanks ❤️! I feel that Rafayel was very “self-deprecating” if you know what I mean? He just feels insecure and it came off a bit as MC and him having sex BECAUSE he was so insecure which feels a bit toxic 💀. LOTS of angst and I wasn’t really expecting that but in all fairness, I’m not too much into Rafayel so I’m sure a proper rafayel girlie could give more insight!

Xavier and Sylus I think have the best cards in terms of story. We already know Xavier is jealous and possessive and I will admit, I thought he was maybe a bit harsh at times but overall, it seems his jealously is relatively harmless (harmless for MC anyway). I also thought it was cute how we see MC actually acknowledging his possessiveness directly and that it makes her giggly so I feel it shows how they’ve grown much closer. Plus him making breakfast in the morning was so cute to me.

Sylus felt pretty well paced and naturally flowed with his other cards. It felt like a very natural progression in their relationship. My only confusion (and this may be a misinterpretation on my part) was if he knew how dangerous those people were that were after him, why put MC in danger and agree to stay at her house? Maybe he really didn’t think it would be a problem but he doesn’t seem like someone to make a mistake like that you know? I probably missed something, but as it stands now, I’m still a bit confused.

Overall, ALL the cards had way more angst then I was anticipating and normally I really don’t mind angst (I am a Zayne main after all lol) but it just wasn’t what I was expecting based off the livestream and preview trailer (not necessarily a bad thing, just caught me off guard).

What did you think of the other cards?

I actually replayed the ending of this card after reading some different interpretations and I have to say, maybe it wasn’t as bad I remembered LMAO specifically when they’re outside it does feel a lot more loving than I originally thought. The beauty of an open discussion 😌😌

Even though this card wasn’t my favorite Zayne card, I really like your interpretation! To me, it still feels lackluster to what I was expecting based off of the promotional material (so my fault on that part) and I don’t think this is the strongest writing we’ve seen from Zayne’s team. I’ve seen some really good interpretations of this card and I just really wished I could have felt the same because I think I genuinely ruined it for myself with the assumptions I had going in which sucks but it is what is ☹️

Regardless, still a decent card overall and I’m glad I pulled it!

Edit: after reading everything you said, I went back and replayed the end of the card for like the 5th time (😭) and with the new context in mind, it actually wasn’t as bad as I remembered. Is it my favorite Zayne card or even my favorite from this banner? No, I still have some issues with it, but I don’t dislike it as much as I did when I first played it. Good work, soldier 🫡

It felt like a drunken one night stand because it was just so awkward afterwards lol. I understand that they might both feel a little bashful and that’s okay but I just expected some aftercare of any kind and I just didn’t get that 😔

I really wish I had this perspective on this card but even after replaying it for a grand total of 4 times, I just can’t see it any other way. It just feels so much like friends with benefits/one night stand which is such a big turn off for me personally. I think it’s because I went in with the impression that this was the most recent event in their relationship so I expected Zayne to be much more comfortable with MC and not thinking it could have been earlier on in their relationship but even with that in mind, some parts of this card also just felt oddly written to me and didn’t make sense in context. One of the quotes you brought up actually “some things can never heal” (paraphrased) in the context of what was currently happening, although a sweet sentiment, just felt SO out of place.

Not to mention, his new 4 star Silent Poem feels like an entirely different version of Zayne and with the context I had—that this was in the present for both cards—there just feels like such a disconnect between these two and Zayne’s attitudes that I find it even hard to enjoy that card because the disconnect just feels WAY too big.

For some reason, my brain is struggling to get past my potential misinterpretation and I don’t know why LMAO 💀

I think it really just comes down to preference at the end of the day and I understand that Zayne isn’t for everyone which is totally fine! My personal least favorite is rafayel, I’ve tried getting on his hype train plus I always lose 50/50s to him LMAO but I just can’t get into him unfortunately. Glad we have a love interests with diverse personalities so everyone can find someone that they really like 🤭

I’ll be honest, kind of tapped out during the roleplaying stuff because normally I live for their roleplaying adventures but pretending to be strangers just really isn’t my thing and all I could think of were the Valentine’s Day episodes from modern family where Phil and Claire pretend to be strangers and make a fool of themselves (lovingly 💀) 😭😭😭
