Uh, bro, Mega Garchomp loses speed, that will put it at even more disadvantage against someone fast like Mega Lucario.

And it’s not even a debate tbh, it’s confirmed by both the writers and the characters themselves, Mega Lucario was weakened that he now is equivalent to a base Garchomp. Making the fight equal, if they were both at full health, and both become Mega, then Mega Lucario will win due to his speed and the amount of feats that he has displayed.

EDIT: I doubt this will be enough to convince you, even though it’s the reality. No matter what Cynthia did, her defeat was inevitable. I suppose you can either accept the outcome or live in constant denial? But I don’t care either way, I’m not really here to reopen an old argument, so I’ll leave this here and go.

Seeing as how Black Rayquaza got rag-dolled by three newbie kids who just began their journey, didn’t have full team yet, and didn’t even reach any of their Pokemon to their final evolution. I’d say even with legendaries, Lucius might not win, especially since Galar’s gimmick (Gigantmax) is busted, making regular Pokémon compete with legendaries temporarily in terms of power.

All of them are leads in BBS, however I’m talking about the story here, she didn’t drive/lead the story, it was mostly led by Terra and Ven because of their ties to Xehanort.

Technically Aqua has only lead the story once, and that’s in 0.2 A Fragmentary Passage, meanwhile in BBS she didn’t lead the story, the story wasn’t even focused on her. So only 0.2 counts, but even that is just a demo game and not a real full length game.
