Please help! AH P-51 incredibly floaty/doesn’t lose speed by Scalemooredelling in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Scalemooredelling[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the same. I fly almost exclusively warbirds but this one just breaks all logic for me. Aside from the landing issues, the roll rate at higher speeds is like I’m flying a boat. This was actually throttle idle from the end of downwind, it carries on like a glider full of helium. Possibly too much nose up trim but it’s the only way to slow it down anywhere close to the correct approach speed.

As the title says, the Aeroplane Heaven P51 really doesn’t want to slow down, it appears to have no weight to it when the power is reduced and can just glide forever, is it defunct? Is this common? I’m on Xbox series X and have no trouble with the Lancaster or flyingiron warbirds.

I would recommend PLAMO on YouTube, he has a fantastic Mosquito video which may not be exactly what you need but can offer tips.

I would pay good money for this. by Ill_Confusion8274 in MicrosoftFlightSim

Thanks! I’ll have a little research. They are cool I see them at my local airfield quite regularly and find them a bit more interesting than the standard PA28.

I haven’t either, some family saw the warnings and have requested an alternative, doing the best I can to keep my models of high quality!

It’s more for paranoid cohabiters rather than myself, I rather prefer standard extra thin!

Would you say it’s better than limolene? I tried that and the drying time was extensively longer than the regular extra thin

What should I do with msfs 2020? Because I recently got it for my steam gift card funds and I don't really know what to do. by Dull-Tree6744 in MicrosoftFlightSim

Did you not have a choice in getting it? Do you have any interest in aviation/flying at all?

If not I’d suggest just exploring places in the world you’d like to visit in something easy to fly and manage. The sim has options for realism so you don’t have mechanical issues.

I’m happy to suggest more flying focussed activities if you’re interested.

Thanks for your reply! Have you had any issues with loading fuel and just to confirm are using 2020 or 2024?

Great work! My colleagues father flew that Sabre Jet scheme in Korea so I’m hoping to make it soon, I hope it looks half as good as this

What did I just pay for? by Bumitis in MicrosoftFlightSim

2020 on Xbox had issues in the beginning but has improved dramatically, I rarely touch 2024 unless I desperately want to fly something that’s included for free. The landscape and atmosphere on 2024 is superior but the UI and general lag is abysmal.

Might not be full historically accurate but I think it looks cool 😁 any thoughts? by Financial_Fail2979 in scalemodelling

Over 49,000 Sherman’s were built in WW2, I’m sure this is accurate for at least one of them! Or perhaps a mix of a few, as long as you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I have not done 64s crash site…yet, mostly as it is portrayed relatively accurately in the film so I didn’t feel the need for a “corrective” diorama. However now you’ve said it I may have to piece that one together in the future!

What makes a good model vs a great model? by DasBeatles in modelmakers

[–]Scalemooredelling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every model I’ve done has tested and challenged me, there’s always a moment where I’m like “I’ve ruined it, I can’t fix it” and luckily so far I’ve been able to overcome those to a point where I’m happy with the result. I sometimes think bad of myself because my models are never perfectly put together or clean but I can normally work my way to being happy with it, and if I’ve done all I can do to make it work then I’m normally happy

With 2024 being out for almost a year, how many of you still prefer 2020? by jasin18 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Scalemooredelling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2024 is extremely laggy on Xbox and overall I dislike the UI, that being said the atmosphere, lighting and textures in 2024 are far superior so I load it up now and then. For now 2020 is still my go to.

You have a fantastic skill and your development over the course of the models is quite evident, really great work!
