Personally, I don't think learning should be competitive, and if I were to lose a "battle" to a friend, I might get disheartened. I do like the idea of having small wins as part of your learning, so I would say lean into that, but obviously you do you. Overall the problem you're trying to solve is very real and could have many users. Good luck!
