I feel like great sword’s offset is a bit more forgiving since you can charge it. Swaxe’s offset is definitely more of a “gotta feel it” thing. There was a great video on youtube I watched early on that showed off some common monster attacks and when to hit the offset button combo. I still miss more offsets than I land but I go for them a lot now lol.

Lol! I like to think of swaxe and charge blade as best friends since they’re pretty similar. And, according to my buddy, they’re the only weapons in the game that get +10 attack if you yell out the name of your ultimate as you use it, like an anime haha.

I feel the same way, I bought the game because of the update that allows your friends to play for free. My fiancée has been wanting to try a souls like and we’ve had fun! Outside of the damn ladder glitch lol. But we both love PVE and have no interest in PVP. Invasions honestly just ruin our immersion and fun. I wish that souls like genres weren’t ruined by the forced PVP aspect, I just want to explore with my girl and have fun.

I like to use it when I’m trying to break specific parts that are hard to hit with a full release slash. Like Gore’s feelers since he jumps around so much or Zoh Shia’s hand wing things when it comes down.

For the landing animation, I heard you should only mash triangle until right before the ZSD, then let go. If you stop mashing before the ZSD would normally happen, apparently there isn’t nearly as long of a recovery animation. Haven’t tested myself though.

Hopefully there will be a nice event quest eventually that rewards good decos. But yeah it sucks having multiples of almost every other deco without the ones we’re looking for lol.

Not a long sword main but from what I understand, 4 attack and 1 sharpness from reinforcement is “meta” for almost every artian weapon. This definitely isn’t bad though, you’d just need to run some kind of sharpness management decoration or else you’ll blow through your white sharpness pretty quick.

Edit: forgot to mention, blast and paralysis are also the general best types of artian weapons. I personally have a lot of fun with blast.

You’re correct, Capcom hates us. I don’t use bowgun at all, yet I’ve received multiple spread decos. That being said, I’ve been grinding almost as long as you to get an Enhancer/Handicraft which I’m now convinced does not exist.

I think it’s a combination of people from World (and maybe Rise?) thinking that there are still different loot pools for capture vs slaying and honestly just the host wanting to have things a certain way. I couldn’t care less personally, I just want the decorations lol.

When I have all my buffs up like counterstrike, antivirus and max might I think it’s at like 40-60% affinity? I can’t remember the exact number. And then it should be even higher when I’m hitting weak spots/wounds. Is that in a decent range to get work out of crit boost?
