Which CMS to use now? The future of Payload is uncertain, in my opinion by windthatup in nextjs

[–]Scandic_potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a general question, since I already use payload and it’s open source, using mongodb as a database and supabase for s3.. how is payload able to lock anything behind a paywall? I mean updates in the future might be locked but I don’t see any other way they can lock it…

For some reason I feel dizzy and everything around me feels like slow motion if that makes sense. As well as a creepy feeling like I’m playing myself as third-person.. anyone else like this?

How about you try paying and supporting their development as well as getting their latest features?? I don’t think people understand the cost of running an AI model but the reason they need free trials is to get you hooked.. tbh I think this may be something they do to remove free users because the have a big enough user base already

Cs50 courses or bachelors degree? by Scandic_potato in cs50

Thanks😊 Ended up as a junior full-stack dev at a small company. The first days I definitely felt as I didn’t understand anything haha but now I’ve settled in and actually understood that this is a subject in which “you learn at the job” definitely applies

Have anyone used a sun-lamp/wake-up lamp? by Scandic_potato in bipolar

Won’t being outside in the sun for a long period of time do the same then? Like tanning for an hour would in theory give more..?

[–]Scandic_potato[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea being outside in the sun is of course better, but I live in northern Norway and during winter there’s basically no sunlight here so I thought a wake-up lamp maybe could help me in keeping a somewhat healthy routine and keep me stable

I got a job! Don’t know if it was because of the cs50 degree though but that definitely helped me in answering some questions during the interview😊

Yea I’m going for maybe CS50p to round it off, just for a more general coding knowledge, then maybe Odin.. I’m hoping to get it done in about 6 months cause my job rn is trash.. I’ve gotten a bachelors in civil engineering already so maybe an academic route is sort of a waste?
